Guestbook comments from the manager
We had an excellent vacation! Loved Hawaii and did most of the suggested things on the list of “our favorite things” from Anne. We also snorkeled with dolphins and manta rays with a company called Splashers – they were great! We rode ATV’s with a company called Ride the Rim – loved that too! Monstera was great. Jackie Rays was great. Bamboo in Hawi was great. We liked visiting shops in Mauna Lani, Hawi, and Waimea. Great burger place in Waimea called Village Burger – mushroom burger is great! Hapuni great for waves and body surfing! Definitely get there early. Lifeguards do a great job there. This has been our favorite vacation! Ooh – and try to see the hula dancers at the Mauna Lani Shops. Thursday night show was great and free! Enjoy and relax. This condo is awesome! Love the beds and décor. Great!!! Great!!! Wow – sunset!! Petroglyphs are cool. Thank you! ?
As you probably have figured out Hawaii is a paradise, a perfect mix of beauty, serenity and fun. It is also the complete opposite of where we live in the greater Seattle area and that is why we choose to buy here. We love Seattle, but for a good portion of the year we do not see the sun and there is no better place to soak up those rays than Hawaii. We particularly love the Big Island for its diversity. The stark contrast between the dry, brittle lava and the lush green of the plants brings two worlds together. We also wanted a place that had a good location…walking distance to restaurants, a beach nearby, and trails to run on. Another criteria of ours was that our location be far enough away from the vog (the volcanic gas from Kilauea) so that it wouldn’t be a constant nuisance.
Our family is growing, we just had our first child last year, and we wanted to start creating memories of fun family vacations with grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends. To us Mauna Lani is paradise.
