Issac - a little, charming, historic village situated in a beautiful part of the Dordogne, surrounded by lush, green countryside and many places of interest to visit nearby, such as Château de Montréal, fortified abbeys of Sourzac (traces of cave paintings have been found in nearby cave) and St. Astier both located in the inhabited since prehistory Isle Valley. 15 min. away the medieval centre of Bergerac, on the banks of Dordogne with its charming timber framed stone houses, quaint alleys and old squares offers great selection of restaurants, museums, shops and activities. Here you can take a boat trip on a Gabare or take a little train on a guided visit of the town. For those more adventurous we recommend visiting towns of Brantome to the north, St Emilion, Bordeaux and Arcachon (with its splendid beach and famous nearby Dunes de Pyla) to the west and the Dordogne Valley with its wonderful views, caves and market towns) to the east.
