Seamews is a newly refurbished detached 3 bedroom house (all on ground level), set in 0.44 acres. The house comprises 2 spacious double bedrooms and a large twin room, all with ample storage space. The south facing garden is tended all year round and catches the evening sun. The conservatory to the rear of the property overlooks and has access to the garden. The newly fitted dining/ kitchen will comfortably seat 6 people and is extremely well appointed. The living room is a perfect area to relax where there is a wide-screen TV with Sky's full package. To the front of the property there is off street parking for 3 cars.

Excellent

We have stayed in many holiday let properties and will say Seamews is very high on our list. After arriving and following our very warm welcome we were delighted with all the facilities within the property. All the rooms were huge and clean. The garden is beautiful and spacious. The house is only a 2 minute walk from the village center where boutique shops, golf shops, a deli , supermarket , bank and a terrific chip shop can be found. In the opposite direction, a 5 minute walk up to the top of the hill finds an un-interupted 360' view from Edinburgh to Fife to North Berwick. The full Sky package is a big plus as is the free Wifi. We took our daughter to East Links Farm Park at Dunbar which is only 20 minutes away and spent the entire day. Edinburgh is only 25 minutes away by train which can be reached by park and ride from Drem ( 10 minute drive ). Overall a great location ( residential street but very tranquil ) and brilliant facilities. I have to say we also enjoyed fantastic late summer weather too !

The perfect holiday home

We loved this house! Light, spacious, immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, with a lovely sun room and a large garden, this is one of the best self-catering properties we have ever rented. Absolutely everything we needed was provided, from free Wifi to tea bags, salt and pepper (we have rented houses in the past that didn’t even have such basics – you’d be surprised what’s missing sometimes!) The owners were extremely helpful and ensured that we had a perfect stay.
The beautiful Gullane Bents beach as well as the local shops and tea rooms are all within easy walking distance of the house. We (two adults and two children aged 9 and 7) used it as a base for exploring Edinburgh but there is also lots to see in East Lothian, and the house is perfectly situated for that. We cannot recommend this house highly enough, even for non-golfers. We are only sorry that we could only stay for a week. We’d definitely go back.

Beyond our expectations

The pictures on the site definately do not do this property justice.
We (a family of four with a 10yr old and a 17yr old spent a week here at the end of August. The house is immaculately maintained and very comfortable. The temperature had dropped by then and we found the heating very adequate. There was plenty of room to spead out and relax (we even made a blackberry and apple crumble using some of the fruit from the garden). Sinking into the roll top bath at the end of a day out and about was a real treat.
Getting into Edinburgh is very straight forward by train, the own of Berwick was just 10 Minutes away by car and a beautiful sandy beach is just a few minutes walk away although the weather was very crisp there were plenty of wind surfers making the most of it.
If you love golf then you wont be short of anything to do; in fact we felt like imposters because we do not play.
There are a number of good restaurants and cafes in Gullane and you can easily find something to meet most tastes and budgets.
The local Cooperative made it easy to stock up on staples like milk bread etc.
The owners were very helpful and were happy to tell us about what might be of interest in the area.
I would definately stay there again.

Wir liebten dieses Haus! Geräumig, hell, sauber, wunderschön ausgestattet, mit einem kleinen Wintergarten und einem großen Garten, ist es eines der besten Ferienhäuser, das wir je gemietet haben. Absolute alles, was wir brauchten war vorhanden, vom kostenlosen WLAN bis hin zu Teebeuteln und Spülmaschinentabs (nicht in allen Ferienhäuser findet man so viel Aufmerksamkeit – es ist manchmal erstaunlich, was fehlt!) Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und sorgten dafür, daß wir einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt hatten.
Der schöne Strand Gullane Bents sowie die örtlichen Läden und Tea Shops sind alle vom Hause aus bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir (zwei Erwachsene und zwei Grundschulkinder) haben von hier aus Edinburgh und die nähere Umgebung von East Lothian erkundigt, wofür das Haus ein perfekter Basislager war. Es gibt hier viel zu sehen und zu machen, nicht nur für Golfer. Besonders zu erwähnen: es gibt in Gullane einen deutschen Konditor! Einen Besuch bei Falko in der Hauptstrasse lohnt sich! Schade, daß wir nur eine Woche hier verbringen konnten. Wir können dieses Haus wärmstens empfehlen und kommen ganz bestimmt wieder.

There is a total of 8 golf courses within a 10 min drive of Gullane and we would be delighted to organise tee off times for guests. There is a plethora of restaurants both locally and in nearby Edinburgh, from fine dining through to gastro-pubs. Other local activities include various water sports, tennis, walking, cycling, as well as all the city attractions of Edinburgh. A car is not essential to your stay as there are shops within walking distance and rail and bus links to Edinburgh are regular. In addition we are able to meet any transport needs with our own driver and car.
