You can walk to everything, including the Utah Ski bus, so no car is required, but if you do bring one you’ll be happy to park it in the secured covered parking.

The Warehouse Condominium building was built in 1910 and served as a grocery warehouse and later as the home of Twirl Town Toys in Downtown Salt Lake City. Located at 327 West 200 South, this old warehouse was converted to loft condos in 1997. This beautiful conversion has a brick exterior and a secured gated entrance. The interior has a multi-level court that opens to the sky and has original ducts, piping and other visible, rustic warehouse features.

This 1100 square foot condo is located on the third floor (yes, there is an elevator) and was fully remodeled in 2013 with top of the line appliances, cabinets, counter tops, floors, and paint. It features exposed brick walls and large picturesque windows.

Ron is a Delta Air Line pilot. Wendy is a Realtor specializing in the vacation rental market and is a former vacation property manger.

We have the benefit of traveling often for both work and pleasure. Whenever we visit a hotel, rental home or B&B that we like, we take notes and photos of what makes it special. We've tried to put as many of these special touches in our vacation homes as possible and we are always looking for fresh ideas and suggestions.

We frequently travel from Moab to Salt Lake City to enjoy the 'city life.'

We picked this condo because of it's outstanding urban location. We love the fact we can leave the car parked and everything we need is within a few blocks. We've equipped the condo nicer than our primary home so staying in and cooking and entertaining is a treat. If we (we means Wendy) doesn't feel like cooking there are over 50 great restaurants/bars within a 15 minute walk. Awesome movie theaters and IMAX is a 1/2 block away.

Gorgeous!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Salt Flat! As soon as we walked through the door our jaws dropped. It is like walking into a design magazine. The decor and artwork is stunning. Every detail is perfect down to the soft robes and lavender bath products. The beds and pillows were a dream come true. It was a wonderful place to come back to after our long days at the Sundance Film Festival. We felt very comfortable and relaxed there. And just a few blocks away there is terrific shopping and restaurants. Wendy and Ron are great hosts! They are very thoughtful and easy to communicate with. We definitely can't wait to go back!

Absolute Nirvana!

The Salt Flat was the perfect romantic getaway! We had an absolutely wonderful time staying there and hated to leave. The condo was immaculately clean, impeccably furnished and EXTREMELY comfortable. Instead of taking advantage of the great kitchen, we walked three minutes to the Pallet Bistro and had an outstanding meal.

The other reviews are right on, Wendy and Ron couldn't have been more accommodating or helpful. We will be back!

BEST place to stay in SLC

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway in the fall and it was absolutely perfect. Wendy is such a sweet person and great to work with. I literally gasped when we entered the condo. It was so bright, clean and nicely decorated. WAY better than any hotel. The location was great and we loved looking out the windows to the city. We have stayed at several different places in SLC and this was by far the best. There are so many good things to say about it but I think that my favorite feature was the parking. It does not get better than this people!

I can't express enough how thrilled I was with the Salt Flat. I am extremely hard to please since I am an interior design fanatic and eat organic etc and this condo met and exceeded my expectations. I brought my own turmeric spice and Himalayan sea salt and couldn't believe it was already stocked with these items! It was super clean and absolutely beautiful. Great location to superb restaurants as well.

Our stay at the Salt Flat while visiting our daughter in the Avenues was all that was advertised and more. Truly walking distance of one block to the Gateway mall and all the amenities nearby. The gated and covered parking made it feel extra safe. The condo was so comfortable and professionally decorated. What great ideas they had !! Surprised at how quiet it was and how well equiped the kitchen area was. The personal exercize room was a big bonus. Owners were readily available and did an excellent job with the instructions and directions. Hope to return in the spring.

Closer to home there is a small organic market, Jade Market, open 7 days a week, just a few doors to the left of the condo and a block the other direction is Tony Caputo's Market & Deli.
