We owned a beautiful log cabin in the surrounding area before discovering this amazing mountain forrest property. It is a rare find to come across mountain property which has a combination of hills and level areas suitable for horses. The moment we walked the land we fell in love. Our family took delight in spending the next 2 years clearing the nearly 6 acres of underbrush and thinning the pines and cedar trees. In preparation of building the main house we decided to build the barn with a living area above which would serve as a guest house. After moving into the guest house we relished the cozy abode so much that we decided to forgo building the main house! We are confident you too will appreciate this gorgeous area.

Even after so many years, we still treasure the opportunity to watch the wildlife on the property. Several hundred feet below the property there is a meadow on the adjacent ranch which the Elk come out in the evenings to feed and play in the pond. The Owner of the Ranch is quite the conservationist and has planted hay fields solely for the benefit of the Deer and Elk.

This wonderfully diverse area offers hundreds of miles of ATV and snowmobile trails. The surrounding Parks have hiking trails which are some of the most stunning in the world. Guided Horse rides, ATV, and Snowmobiles rentals are available minutes away. Be sure to hike the deer trail in the deep woods on the hillside of the property! You'll find some gorgeous rock formations.

AWESOME

  • 4 of 5
We stayed at the barn/cabin from 6-13-14 to 6-20-14. Everything was amazing, from the view of the property, deers, turkeys, to the high end appliances. The bed was the best bed I've ever slept in. The hot tub was great after long hikes. This property is in the best location if you want to visit Zion and Bryce. It's about 35 mins from each. We also went to the Grand Canyon, which only took a little over 2 hours. We did the Grand Staircase and also the Lower Antalope Canyon in Page, AZ - a MUST see if you go. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, was because of no Internet. I used my phone to tether to the computer for usage, and it was fine. We will definitely be back. Bob is really nice and everything you need or want is within the cabin - from backpacks to pot/pans, etc. We loved it there.....so peaceful and loved seeing deers every morning.

Quiet and relaxing, the perfect getaway.

  • 5 of 5
We just arrived home after a wonderful weekend at the barn. The upstairs area was perfect for the three of us while we were in the area checking out the national parks. We thoroughly enjoyed the feeling of isolation even though the neighbors aren't that far away. There was plenty of wildlife to watch, including more hummingbirds than I've seen in one place!
Evenings were spent in front of the fire, in the hot tub or star-gazing. There is no light pollution so the night sky is pretty spectacular when cloud cover is light. The barn has all the amenities that one would need. A full kitchen, fridge-freezer, washer and dryer, dishwasher, two bathrooms, lots of outdoor space and views.
My communication with the owner was also a delight. We never met but feel like I know him already. He was very helpful, friendly and accommodating and I would most definitely stay there again.

Beautiful Cabin enveloping Nature

  • 5 of 5
We had a wonderful time at the "Barn" which is not so much a barn, but a well-appointed 1 Bedroom Elevated Cabin with vaulted T&G Ceilings and Rough Sawn Knotty Pine Flooring. It was easy to find and it's remote location away from the road made it extremely peaceful. The Cabin is immaculate and well-kept. It is located between Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park- a 40-50 minute beautiful drive either way. The Cabin has all the amenities of home and then some! There is a Gas BBQ Grill that any chef would love to own and a well thought out kitchen design with appliances to make any foodie enviable. We spent 8 nights exploring the area and enjoyed coming "home" to beautiful vistas of snow covered mountains a fireplace and wonderful Hot Tub in our "paradise" surrounded by Pine Trees. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds play by the feeder, saw several Mule Deer and even Wild Turkeys. We really appreciate that Bob and his wife are willing to share their fantastic place with folks from afar. They epitomize the "Aloha Spirit", ensuring all our questions were answered, provided a booklet with options for wonderful day trips, and even suggested favorite restaurants and shopping options in the area. We highly recommend a getaway to the "Barn" and would love to return some day. Thanks for being such a big part of a memorable vacation. Mahalo from Hawaii

Best Week Ever!

  • 5 of 5
Bob, I have to tell you, that was the most magical week we have ever had as a family. Our five-year-old son even said he likes the cabin more than Disneyland :) Your place felt so much like home and everything was so incredibly organized and helpful! We hiked at Bryce twice, fished at Panguich, roasted s'mores, called for turkeys, and just made so many amazing memories. Even our dogs were at their happiest! I would never be able to thank you enough. It was our first cabin trip and we now know it will definitely be an annual thing.

Ideal Pet Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5
This is my perfect vacation spot. That being said, if you have trouble with walking up a lot of stairs, this is not the property for you. On 6+ acres of mountain views, within 1/2 mile of Dixie National Forest, wild turkeys, deer, rabbits, woodpeckers... and that's just the land. The accommodations in every way exceeded our needs. Our horses had phenomenal space and could be separated as needed. The arena....oh, the arena. I am an equine professional and I brought three horses with me. The footing was perfect on both the sand arena and the wooded property. My dog's only complaint is that we wouldn't let her off lead to chase the bunnies and the turkeys. The kitchen provided my children the opportunity to use the "chicken nuggets" button on the microwave, while we had no problems providing complete meals as staples such as spices, flour, sugar, et al were provided, and the lovely gas range was on par with a Wolfe. The gas BBQ was spacious and had a complete rotisserie. The bed in the master was regal (seriously, step on the stool to get on the bed.) An air mattress and sleeping bags are provided for the kids and both chairs are recliners. Outside, there are several spots perfect for tents so the kids can camp while the adults pamper themselves supervising from the balcony hot tub. The outside camping/picnicking area is well designed and the fire ring is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. The property and barn offer entertainment for any families (or family members) that may not be equine inclined (cards, billiards, darts.) If you really need to get out, go on easy day trips to Zion or Bryce and come back to the hot tub. Yeah, I could live here forever. The best part is that offering this treasure is Bob and his family. I love doing business with people I like, and it is impossible to not like Bob. Bob is incredibly kind and welcoming. When he says to call him to make sure everything is alright, do so. He means it.

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5
Let me qualify this review by stating that I am one of the most picky people on the planet. This rental was wonderful. Clean, excellent furnishings and wonderfully equipped with top of the line appliances. We can't wait to stay here again. Bring everything you need because it is rather remote but that is the beauty. I don't think we have ever had a more relaxing time. Loved the hot tub and the views were wonderful. Bob was so nice to work with. Thank you for the opportunity to stay in such a special place. We LOVED it. So did Indy and Annie (our two fur babies)!
