Recoleta Apartment Rental Photos and Description
Great main floor bedroom with extra loft bedroom above the kitchen
Beautifully restored penthouse apartment on the fourth floor of a Parisian-style building with only 8 apartments. Fantastic location to see Buenos Aires. The apartment was restored over 9 months to reclaim the grand living at the beginning of the 1900s. No expense was spared to recreate the rich feeling with the imported wood while still modernizing the kitchen and bathrooms.
Very high ceilings with ornate plaster work characterized by the wood detailing and original pinotea Norwegian wooden floors which create a warm atmosphere. There is an entrance hall, separate lounge/living and dining room, a master bedroom with a luxury queen size mattress and luxury bedding with a fully equipped ensuite bathroom complete with Jacuzzi bathtub and shower. Second bathroom 'loft-style' above the kitchen with a double bed and a half-bathroom. Designer kitchen with gas stove, dishwasher and refrigerator. Clothes washing machine as well and access to the rooftop clothes line. Living room has a Bose Wave stereo and cable TV. Wireless internet in the apartment. Mood lighting in every room. Maid service once a week. Air conditioned for summer and central heating (water forced radiators) in winter. There is an elevator (Parisien style wrought iron) so you don't have to walk up that many flights (unless you are working off all the great food in Buenos Aires).

I grew up in Canada and the US and fell in love with Buenos Aires and the Argentine culture so decided to put some permanent roots down in Buenos Aires. I come back at least twice a year to visit friends and to keep experiencing the ever-changing city. I made it my personal goal to visit every one of the 'notable cafes' of Buenos Aires - the ones that have been around at least a hundred years. One is on the same street as the apartment.
The apartment is half of the top floor of a hundred year old Parisian-style building. When I started looking for a place this one jumped out and definitely a very lucky find! After 9 months of restoration/renovation it is showing its full potential and I wish I could live here all year round.
This is the perfect location to visit Buenos Aires. Walking distance to Recoleta and the centre of Palermo, with restaurants and shopping at your door. Park Las Heras is two short blocks away and you can walk to the botanical gardens, the Evita museum and there is a hidden cafe in the courtyard of a museum that is about 15 blocks away. So many hidden wonders and there is a continuously updated house guidebook that has my recommendations. I'll mail that in advance to help with your planning. Some of the restaurants (especially the closed door restaurants) are often fully booked in advance so it is good to do some planning. I wish I had two stomachs when I come to Buenos Aires.
