Santa Rosa Villa Rental Photos and Description
3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, Sleeps 4-6, - Close To Wineries, Restaurants, Attractions
Bathed in natural light and with views that span nearly a hundred miles, Chill Hill is a secluded hilltop getaway that's perfect for a memorable, relaxing wine country holiday. The house features lush, natural views from every window (even the bathrooms) and is located within minutes of world-class wineries, the coast, and the quaint towns of Healdsburg, Sonoma, Glen Ellen, and Kenwood. It's a perfect location -- close to everything, but a million miles away.
The house is set-up for true outdoor living. Like a mini-resort, it features:
- 30' swimming pool fed by crystal clear, spring
- Outdoor dining pavilion with giant views of the Russian River Valley
- Yoga deck
- Zen garden
- Herb garden
- Several outdoor seating areas
- Weber BBQ
The house has three bedrooms. On the first floor is a large master with en suite bath and natural stone, walk-in shower for two. There are two smaller bedrooms that share a brand new, slate and marble bath on the secluded second floor. Both bedrooms open to an adjoining sunroom with a DVD screen and tons of books. The main floor features a living room and dining area with formal seating for six. There is also an 6' ebony grand piano and giant picture windows facing the Russian River Valley, Dry Creek Valleys and the coastal hills. At the heart of the main floor is a large, open chef's kitchen with Viking appliances, commercial gas range, La Pavoni espresso machine, and a beautiful 11-foot antique work table from 19th century France, with stool seating for casual meals. The kitchen spills to a warm seating area with wood-burning fireplace, flat screen TV, and a giant picture window with expansive valley views all the way to the coast and guaranteed gorgeous sunsets.
Wood plank floors span the first floor with beautiful Persian carpets, recessed halogen lighting (all on dimmers), and Asian antiques. The house is instantly comfortable and perfectly decorated with restraint and elegance.
A short walk down the hill will take you to the area's best bakery, coffee shop, florist, a boutique grocery store, and a popular family restaurant -- all locally owned. The renowned Santa Rosa Certified Farmer's Market is a few miles away on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Downtown is just a few minute drive where you'll find Michelin-awarded restaurants, cafes, shopping, movies, live music, brew-pubs, attractions, and more. And of course, there are hundreds of world-class wineries to be explored in every direction. We've left an extensive list of our favorite local spots for guests.
Please note that parties, events, weddings, annulments, and related celebrations at the home are *strictly* prohibited. It's really quiet here and respect for neighbors is essential. At night, the stars and lights below will twinkle while sounds of civilization are replaced by nature.
We hope that you'll find Chill Hill a peaceful and restful escape.

We love to travel, cook, entertain, and play. Food, wine and music are some of our passions and we've found all of them here in gorgeous Northern California. This has been an inspiring place for us to be creative, to write, play music, and welcome friends.
Why Roy chose Santa Rosa
Chill Hill provides the perfect escape to relax, entertain, cook, or just float in the pool after a day visiting the area's world class vineyards. The house instantly feels like a vacation resort and it's been tastefully decorated with Asian and European antiques. We recently installed a chef's kitchen using high-end appliances, commercial gas stove, and an 11' work table from 19th century France. The secluded grounds are filled with fruit trees and you're welcome to help yourself to whatever happens to be in season. Beautiful sunsets are guaranteed and our local deer often wander up to the front windows to get a look inside. Even though the house is just minutes from town, you'll feel like you're way out in the country...and on top of the world.
What makes this villa unique
We took the advice of an old-timer who shared some home-buying wisdom a few years ago. He said if you're going to live in the SF Bay Area, you should seek out three things:
1) a great view 2) lots of sunshine 3) a pool
