'Cape Ann'- the Massachusetts Cape named after a Queen-not an ugly fish!
If you have never been to Cape Ann before-- you don't know what you are missing! If you have been here you most likely can't wait to return. This area is magical! It's a jewel : white sandy beaches as well as areas of rocky coastline. Theater, great restaurants, whale watching, deep sea fishing, art galleries, museums, kayaking, biking, hiking and so much more.
An hour or less to Salem Ma., Kittery Maine factory outlet stores, fall foliage, Logan Airport, and antiquing in Essex, Ipswich or Rowley to name a few! If you want to explore-- there's plenty of it to do! If being 'still' is what you need, we are offering you a beautiful waterfront apartment for 2 that we call 'Sleepy Hallow'. Furnished with brand new queen sized bed and queen sized pull out couch, we are confident you will be comfortable. New linens, rugs, bed pillows and drapes as well. You will absolutely love staying here over-looking the Annisquam River and the back side of Wingaersheek Beach. We provide towels, umbrella, chairs and cooler for your use at the beach.
Your private deck offers a brand new gas grill, comfy teak cushioned deck chairs with side table, flowers, umbrella and the most fabulous view of sunsets you can imagine.
Inside we have flat screen HDTV, DVD, JVC CD player with radio, internet access and washer drier on site. Games, books and Cape Ann Info for your enjoyment.
Our full kitchen has all you could need including everything to cook a lobster dinner!
At low tide you can walk down onto the hard packed sand through a right of way and spend hours swimming, walking, reading, boat-watching and more. At high tide you can launch your kayak off of another right of way that are both completely visible from your deck. The apartment is on the second floor of our home where we reside year-round. We are 2 adult females living with 3 elderly dogs aged 14, 13 and 12. We have hens on site ( no rooster ) providing fresh eggs daily which are complimentary to you on request. One of us has lived in Gloucester since birth and we have owned and operated a number of local businesses over the years. We are very familiar with the hospitality industry and are confident we can help make your stay memorable. This is our second year renting for vacationers as we have previously had full time tenants. Winter rentals are also available. We are especially eager to give you our best. We look forward to your call. Paula Parsons and Debra Callahan
This house was acquired by my father through marriage in 1965. He adored this location!! We acquired it in 1999 and built the upstairs apartment for him. After his passing we decided to redo the entire space again for the purpose we now offer. We absolutely love it as much as he did and never take it for granted!
Whale watching while you are in Gloucester is always a must! There a several different places to choose from. There is nothing more beautiful than seeing a whale up close. Deep sea fishing is always fun...Home of 'Wicked Tuna'.
