History: The first maritime connections between The Canary Islands, Spain, Italy, the UK and Norway started in 1894 when the Norwegians were awarded a concession to start a shipping line between the countries, under the stewardship of Thomas Olsen, the father of Petter Olsen, the present owner of the villas complex.
In 1909 the family together with two local Gomerian investors created the company “La Lomada de Tecina” The local participants probably had identified substantial water resources and needed outside investors to create a local agribusiness based on tomatoes and bananas. Norwegian expertise in commercial shipping was also a key to the business. The villas where the factories of these agriculture activities.
Later these factories were changed into private leisure villas and gardens and now they have been deeply refurbished to offer our clients the highest and most attractive experience.
How to get to the villa: Access to La Gomera is by ferry from Los Christianos on Tenerife to San Sebastian.
Flights from mainland Europe arrive at both Tenerife North and South, but flights to La
Gomera come in from Tenerife North. Flight time from TFN is about 20 minutes. The
airport is located just beside the villas and is has an appearance of
modern traditional Canarian Style.
Cars are available for rental at the airport. We can book one for you on demand.
La Gomera has a conical topography caused by its origins as a volcanic island. The roads
therefore display a radial pattern to the coast from the higher elevations. The road
network is well surfaced and cross The National Park and the protected areas. Driving time from San
Sebastian to Playa Santiago is about 25 minutes.

Guestbook comments from the manager
The listing for Casa Chica did not do it proud - it was wonderful. The pool was especially lovely - very private and fun due to its shape and depth. The garden was beautifully laid out with stunning views and the villa decorated in a very attractive manner. It was very clean and was well-maintained and any request we made was quickly accomodated. It was lovely too, to come in to a beautiful bowl of local fruits. I would not only recommend this property, I would go back. The island itself is exquisite, and Playa Santiago was really easy to get to - go through the tunnel for a simpler, less tortuous way down! - with great restaurants. Go on the boat, eat, drink, read, walk (or run as my husband and son did most days), and listen to the silence. Lovely. Small complaint was the flies, but no other insects.
