This hillside cabin has a total of 3 queen size beds and 1 twin sleeping couch. The first floor has 2 beautifully crafted built in beds and a small living area, the second floor has a bedroom, living area with built in couch/sleeping area, bathroom with double shower, and fully equipped kitchen.

Description - Originally built in the 40's during the height of the area's use as a retreat for the wealthy and elite, the cabin retains the charm from the era while blending in the influences of recovered stained glass windows from various parts of Europe and modern design touches from around North America. Nature abounds in this hillside sanctuary as the sound of flowing water invites the deepest sleep assisted by the memory beds that will leave you rested and refreshed for all the adventures the area has to offer. The cabin was recently remodeled to take full advantage of it's beautiful setting with artful windows and stunning solid oak walls that feel both cozy and expansive.

If you enjoy hiking and mountain biking, there are several state and county parks close by that offer pristine scenery and experience. spring break getaway with sons

  • 5 of 5

Cute little cabin on a creek. My sons, 11 & 9, LOVED the downstairs with the trapdoor entry (there is a exterior door for us grownups). I didn't see them for the 1st 3 hrs we were there. They were setting up their 'pad'. It is well equipped and every cozy inch is well thought out. Beds are great!

Great location to all kinds of activities. Middletown, closet town, has lots of places to eat. Nice folks too. Will try to get back there for a girls weekend and test out some of the hot springs. Thanks Justin!!

Lovely Home, disappointing setting

  • 3 of 5

This home was gorgeously built with fine details, expert design and color coordination, and a rustic modern playful flair. The furniture and accessories are all very well thought out and high quality. The house itself is very unique architecture; the lower level is not very convenient to access, as you must go up a ladder or outside, so people who sleep down there should not need easy access to a bathroom. I personally would not stay there again, because the setting was very unlike that featured in the photographs. The house is crowded together with other houses, and much of the view from the back is also of other houses. This beautiful natural area is getting pretty crowded up, and some of the neighboring details are not very classy. On either side of the house are long chains and fences with big red "No Trespassing" signs delineating the neighbors' yards, which appear to be shouting directly at this house. The river is not accessible, which is disappointing. Although lovely, the house is pretty cold and dark. I think it would be a perfect place to come back to at night (if you don't mind being cool or cranking up the heater) after spending your day exploring the area.

Girls' trip

  • 5 of 5

What a delightful surprise! We called our little getaway the "Hobbit House". Everything was so fun and the attention to detail was perfect! The "door in the floor" was great! The house perfectly accommodated 6 women and the surroundings were phenomenal! Aside from the winding road down the mountain, the house was everything and more than we expected!

Grandmas vacation

  • 5 of 5

Place was awesome. Tricky to get to without an off road vehicle. And the rooms aren't connected within the same unit. Not very friendly for handicap people but if you can walk perfectly fine Then it's great. Everything was beautiful and clean and it's a beautiful location.

The perfect cozy cabin for a romantic or family weekend!

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I rented this cabin to visit for the weekend with our mothers (55+) and we ALL loved this place. The photos from the listing are true to life - the place is cozy, warm, relaxing and well-equipped with every blanket or pillow you might need. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking and entertaining guests in the living room. The cabin was very clean and the property is facing a bubbling brook and is nested in the woods where it is quiet and peaceful. The owners were very helpful in sending advice and info in advance for finding local activities and attractions, and we really enjoyed exploring all the local wineries. We are all hoping to return in the near future and I would highly recommend this property to a friend!
