Dogpatch Apartment Rental Photos and Description

2 Queen Bdrms; 1 Bath; + Oversized Queen Daybed; Gourmet Kitchen; Garden Seating

The stylish flat features two immaculately maintained queen bedrooms, one bath, a living room with gas fireplace, and a well equipped gourmet eat-in kitchen. A high quality queen daybed sleeps two extra guests comfortably. Our large dining table seats 6-8 guests. The communal garden and brick patio space is perfect for special gatherings and celebrations--wonderful for post-sightseeing barbeques.

About the neighborhood:

The Jacobsen House is located in the sunny Dogpatch neighborhood on the South Eastern bay side of San Francisco.

Just south of downtown San Francisco, the Dogpatch neighborhood offers easy access to multiple attractions. Public transportation is available via the 3rd street rail line, the 48 and 22 bus lines, and the Cal Train commuter rail service--all within two blocks of the apartment.

There is a wonderful cafe nearby if you crave a cappuccino, and six renown restaurants within two blocks. Just up Potrero Hill, there are more restaurants and local shopping.

Notably, this area typically escapes the foggy marine layer that moves into the northerly and westerly San Francisco neighborhoods each afternoon.

About urban neighborhood parking:

The Dogpatch neighborhood has ample street parking relative to other San Francisco neighborhoods. As in all San Francisco neighborhoods, some blocks have 4 hour restrictions during the business day; other blocks have no restrictions. All blocks have street cleaning once per week. All parking rules are clearly posted on each block.

Alternatively, guests may opt for off street parking at the nearby public lot for only $5.00 per 24 hour period. A bargain payable directly to the lot.

Thank you so very much for driving me to the Pier 39. I had a great day watching the boats and touring. I hope you like red wine, we left you a bottle on the counter, as well as Long Board beer in the fridge. Thank you again, Linda

Perfect for a family vacation!

  • 5 of 5
Our recent stay could not have been better! My family and I drove up from San Diego to explore the city. We purchased the City Pass which included use of the Muni. We easily walked to the Muni station from the house, caught the T line and then the F line to Fisherman's Wharf. I had been concerned with three small kids being "so far" away from the main tourist area would be difficult but it was not at all!!

I was also worried about parking around the location but that ended up being fairly easy as well. We did have to move our vehicle a few times due to street sweeping but easily found other parking close to the property.

The house was fantastic for my family of 5. We have three small kids ages 8, 6, & 3 and staying in a small hotel room is just a nightmare. I love VRBO for longer stays because it gives the kids a little more space. Spacious bedrooms provided room for all three kids in one room and my husband and I in another, the living space and dining space were also great! And the kitchen was well stocked complete with coffee pot and filters (necessary for anyone with small kids!) Access to the washer and dryer were such a blessing. 5 people dirty a lot of clothes very quickly! I was so glad not to have to find a laundromat before heading out of town.

All in all a great stay, we all loved it and if we visit again we will definitely stay here!

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5
The property is exactly as described. Recently remodeled, immaculate, and spacious. Everything is brand new (dishes, towels, sheets) all perfect. The owner could not have been more helpful or kinder. The location is perfect, a quick walk to the train station and frequent trains to the touristy areas. This neighborhood is quiet and residential, which is very peaceful after a day in Union Square or Fisherman's Wharf with all the tourists. Parking was far easier than we expected, plenty of free parking in the surrounding blocks, but car may have to be moved for weekly street cleaning. Nevertheless, no need to pay for parking.

Beautiful and roomy condo

  • 5 of 5
The condo was spacious, modern, nicely furnished, and comfortable. The Dogpatch neighborhood was a great place to explore on foot. There were many walkable restaurants and bars, including Piccino directly across the street, which includes an espresso bar that opens at 6:30 am for those early mornings with your CST infant.

The back patio was beautiful and includes a grill, though the furniture, while fine for dining, wasn't comfortable for lounging.

We brought our 11-month-old and appreciated the second bedroom where he slept.

Parking out front can be tricky during the week: there is a four-hour limit between 8 am and 4 pm, and it was difficult to find an open spot in the area during the work week. Evenings and weekends were no problem.

The place has an updated kitchen stocked with dishes, pots, pans and knives. However, you'll need to bring your own storage containers, ziplock bags, tin foil, etc., if you want to hold on to the food you prepare.

Includes cable, wifi, washer and dryer shared with the host. Small gripe: HD TV was hooked up to the cable box with composite cables, so Game of Thrones wasn't as crisp as it could have been.

Overall: We loved it and recommend it.

Wedding/Reception in Dogpatch

  • 5 of 5
Fabulous accommodations! We were delighted with everything. The apartment was clean, very up-to-date as far as appliances and fixtures with great linens, towels, etc. Great location - near restaurants, Muni, AT&T park. We had a car and street parking was easy. We attended a wedding/reception at Wineworks on 3rd St, just a couple of blocks away. Very easy to get to/from. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thanks Heidi.

Exceptional on all counts!

  • 5 of 5
Our stay at the Jacobsen house was absolutely wonderful!! An oasis in the city. The property itself is as beautiful as it is represented in the photos and the location was terrific. You enter the home and are immediately impressed by the space. It is light and bright with modern furnishings and beautiful architectural details. The home has lovely hardwood floors, 9' ceilings, wide hallways and a spacious vibe. The furnishings and bedding are modern and comfortable and the kitchen and bath have been beautifully remodeled. We found the Jacobsen house to be a wonderful place to rest and relax after a busy day of activity downtown. Parking was manageable and the neighborhood was hip and fun without being chaotic. We could grab a quick coffee across the street in the morning, had an amazing brunch at the Serpentine just a few blocks down and hope to have dinner at Piccini next time we visit. The owners were quick to respond and helpful through all phases of the reservation process. All in all, it couldn't have been a nicer experience. We hope to have an opportunity to visit again in the not too distant future:)

Car: not necessary

Historic Victorian located in the fashionable micro-neighborhood of Dogpatch. Situated on the sunny, San Francisco Bay side of Potrero Hill, Dogpach grew from the need for industrial worker housing in the late 19th century. Two blocks from the waterfront, Dogpatch is now the home of San Francisco's Museum of Craft and Design and acclaimed restaurants and bars, including: Michael Ricchuti's Chocolate Lab and Little Nib, highly rated Piccino Cafe, Yield Wine Bar, Serpentine. Notably, Dogpatch is the center of San Francisco's burgeoning craft economy. Coined an 'urban laboratory,' Dogpatch has retained its industrial roots--housing numerous makers, designers, and small manufacturing suites.
