This is a 7 1/2 acre island, Privately owned, only you and your guests will be on it. This island has over 2000 feet of sandy shoreline, there are two docks for boat docking and great fishing surrounds the island.
The only regular visitors to the island are you and the Bald Eagle who has taken up a high tree top residency there.
In addition to all that, there is a beautiful two story home/cabin. It has two bedrooms and one bathroom on the main floor and a large loft on the second floor.
The first bedroom has a King size bed and the second bedroom. has a Queen size bed in it. The upstairs loft has two Queen size beds in it and a fold out futon bed. This house is fully furnished.
The beautifully landscaped yard also sports a camping area for extra guests and an extra bath house for guest use.
The beautifully landscaped yard has a custom Built Outside Kitchen / Grill area, Bon Fire Pit Area and a Horse Shoe pit for recreation.
This Island paradise has the most serene patio settings for enjoying a morning cup of coffee and some afternoon sunbathing. The sandy bottom beach area surrounding the island is great for swimming.
The Island has so much to offer. It is a wonderful retreat for anyone wanting to enjoy the calm of nature on your own or with friends and family! It includes a wonderful hiking trail approximately one mile long around the inland wooded area.
It makes a great family reunion destination or even a beautiful Island Wedding location!
Bring your own boat for transportation or rent one with the house… We have an 02' 22ft pontoon available for rent with this Island for $100 a day or you can rent a brand new 2014 pontoon boat for $250 a day or you could rent both boats for $300 a day!
Rates are subject to change at anytime. There is a 10 person limit for the cost per night. Any amount over 10 people would be subject to a $50 per night per person with a limit to 20 people unless owner approval before hand.
My name is Chad and I was born and raised in South East MI. I have owned and operated my own business since I was 17 years old. I purchased Zeron's Island back in 2005. When I first bought it there was no standing structures besides one wall of the now standing bunk house/Tiki Chad's that was the original wall of the cabin built 40-50 years ago. We enjoyed the island for a year or so just to camp out at and hang on the lake for holiday weekends. After enough camping I started building the main log cabin on the island. Once that was completed I built another building that has a outdoor accessible bathroom and garage door that is also used as a bar and storage place as well as spare sleeping arrangements. I also did a beautiful landscape job the next summer and sea wall the summer after that. This has been a great experience for my family, friends and I. We loved it so much that after one summer of not being able to enjoy it as much as we would have like we decided to start letting other people enjoy it for vacations, reunions and things of that sort so they can see what we've enjoyed for years and to make as many enjoyable memories as we had. It truly is one of a kind and a great place to go and get away from everyday life.

Ever since I was a little kid I had a long shot dream of owning my own island and back in 2005 I was able to make that dream a reality. After about a year of owning Zeron's Island I started construction on what I had always envisioned in my dreams which was to build an up north paradise. I first started by refurbishing the original cabin that was constructed on the island back in the early 1900's and I tried to make it as original as it once was. Once that was finished construction started on the main cabin. It took a long year and a half or so to build it as it was quite the task to get all my materials and supplies taken to the island by boat/barge as well as crossing the lake on the ice in the winter time. Once construction was completed I felt like I had finally accomplished my life long dream. We loved it so much that we couldn't get enough time to spend there with all of my friends and family. We had an epic time on the island, whether it was the long holiday weeks in the summer to enjoy the fireworks on the lake with large groups of friends or just a quick three day weekend get away with my family, we couldn't get enough of it. After years of continues parties, memories, and fun it got harder and harder to find the time to enjoy it as much as we would have liked. So a few years ago I decided that I would like to share my dream with other families and groups of friends to create their own memories of island fun as I did for so long. Our first year the island was open to the public was in 2012 and to no surprise it was a huge success. We've had guests from all over the country come and stay with us and every group has reported back to us of how much fun they had and enjoyed spending time on our own little piece of island paradise. Since then we have had plenty of return renters and new ones. Every year the island get nicer with more fun things added to it for renters to enjoy. From our new solar panel power system to our brand new pontoon boat it is 1 of a kind
I fell in love with this property the minute I saw it. I knew it had a lot of potential and would eventually be a great vacation spot for me and my family. There are such great sunsets views there and is really cool that the only way to get the cabin is by a boat ride. Once the outside landscaping was complete I knew the island was finally completed and my dream had come true. It is my paradise away from home and I am happy to now let others enjoy it too!
We arrived to our Shangri-La road weary, tired and hungry. Within minutes the cares began to slip away. We enjoyed many evenings by the fire pit making s'mores and iron pan cakes. It could not have been more relaxing. The views were awesome, beds were comfortable, house was cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. The kids camped on the lawn and when rare shower passed by, we sat on the porch and just relaxed. Can't wait to return!
Words cannot properly describe how awesome our experience was on Zeron's island! We had a bachelor party of 15 people and two dogs. There was ample room for lawn games and camping tents, plenty of room for the dogs to roam and the cottage was beautiful! The new solar panels provided enough power to run all the outside and inside lights plus a t.v. For some sports and the stereo played pretty much non stop. By the end of our stay it was quite clear there will be plans on a return visit next summer!
We loved this Island! We brought our whole family and dogs and everyone had a blast. It is a great lake with a cool resort/bar on the lake for adult entertainment! LOVE LOVE LOVE dealing with Joe, Chad, & Barb. The landscape is unbelievable on a one of a kind property. We go on a family vacation every year and would love to come back again next year! Really fun for a family of 7 and our two dogs. We had a campfire every night lakeside and looked at the stars! The kids enjoyed swimming and boating with Chad's pontoon and had a blast camping in the big grassy yard! Zeron's Island is a really cool place and can't wait to come back again.
There is a 120 year old Hotel nearby on the lake called Kenyon`s Resort that has a restaurant & lounge with live beach side entertainment on Saturdays. They have a 15 slip boat dock, gas, water craft rentals, beach area, swim area, and playfort. It is said to be known as the ~hide out~ for the infamous Purple Gang. They also offer the following activities with advanced notice: Horse & buggy rides, Kayaks & canoe trips, golf outings, and a fishing tour guide.
