TRY ANOTHER APARTMENT NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE

What made this mediocre experience/apartment an overall dud has more to do with how the property is managed rather than the property itself. There was nothing fabulous about the property and/or apartment although it was the highest priced out of all the call backs we received...and it was higher than listed in the ad (by the time we received the return calls from other properties I already submitted a deposit). To make this review productive I have listed pros and cons.
Cons:
• I kept finding human hair all over the place
• I was told that there would be "some" toiletries provided and there was none in
the apartment.
• Appliances are average at best (in picture)
• I was told to lie about renting the space if asked...and mention that I was just a
friend of the owner
• The parking space allotted was filled with someone else's car and one of the
options I was given was to park several blocks away and just walk back to the
property (after nearly two days the owner eventually moved).
• I paid over $150 in fees for sending & receiving payment to the company via
credit card. When I voiced my concern about this I received a callous response (I
can only give you the contract I can't make you read it)
• Gawdy colors for lackluster bedding (in picture)
• Bathroom sink drains slowly
• Half of the bedroom closet was taken up by empty boxes and other paraphernalia
• No ice in freezer
Pros:
• The location is good if you like the Little Italy area in San Diego. However, it is
approximately 20-30 minute walk to the Gaslamp District bars, clubs, and
restaurants.
• Adequate space in the apartment for approximately four people.
• After we had significant delays with inbound flights; the person on duty brought
the keys to me 30 mins after calling her on Christmas Eve.
• I liked the dining room table (see picture)
• The washer & dryer in the apartment was a great convenience
Owner's Response: We are so sorry that this Tenant found his experience with his stay in our condo
and our service not prefect. We try very hard to make every Tenant's stay positive.

We provide photos, detailed description, professional Virtual Tour & map location on web page.
We email address to "map quest" as well as detailed Rates and all fees charged before any Application or funds are exchanged.

He had option to pay w/Cashier's Check but choose to pay w/Visa knowing of all fees.
Our Booking Directions are extremely detailed. Major Holidays are at a higher Rate than regular dates as also stated on the web pages.

We use a professional cleaning service and pride ourselves in the clean condition of all of our units. If any Tenant feels the
condition of the unit is not prefect, we would return our Maids to clean again and fix any problems.

We do ask our Tenant's to say, if asked by any neighbors, that they are "friends" of the Owner…this is to put at ease the permanent residents
of the building who may be anxious over seeing "strangers" in their private garage parking area, elevators and/or Hallways.

This Tenant was due to arrive early on Christmas Eve. When he called to say his plane was delayed, we instructed him to call us
upon "landing" in San Diego, before getting his luggage or Rental car so that we had time to drive & do the Check-In.

He called at 7:30 PM parked at our Office. If he had called upon landing, the Staff member who came immediately would have been there waiting for him instead of driving in to meet him.

When arriving into garage, we found that someone parked in our reserved space. We wrote a "note" asking that they remove their car immediately.
We then offered our Tenant to park at our Office-3 blocks away. Instead, he chose to park in someone else's spot instead of walking.

We wrote another "note" explaining why he had parked there & providing phone contact number. We did what we could about this problem beyond our control.

We give all our Tenant's option to pay w/Cashier's Check without any fees. He chose to pay w/Visa. All fees, etc. are spelled out in our
detailed Booking Directions before any Tenant submits an application or any funds.

We've had groups/families of six stay here and love the condo, location & service. We have had repeat Tenants.
We truly regret that this Tenant's experience was not the same.
