Excellent Standard - A real Find

Had a really marvellous holiday. Pat has gone to a lot of trouble to ensure everything about the accomodation is first class. We discovered St David's last year and have booked twice this year. Everything is very clean, modern and tastefully decorated. No

Brilliant Stay

  • 5 of 5
Stayed at St David's House in February. The house was immaculate and very well maintained. Plenty of space in the house. The views from the bedroom windows were fantastic of the sea front and surrounding landscape. The house was permanently warm and homely. The weather for February was fantastic. The house was ideally placed to travel to other locations. We would definitely recommend this property for anyone wishing to stay in Rhos-on-Sea or in North Wales. Pat the owner was very welcoming and friendly and even accommodated our early arrival. I have been holidaying in North Wales for over 30 years, and this is the best holiday accommodation that I have stayed in. We can't wait to return :)

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5
We have stayed in this house on two occasions and intend to stay there again next year. I think that says it all really!!

However ... you will receive a warm welcome from Pat who is only a phone call away during the week should you need her. There is a dedicated parking space right outside the front door. It is a spacious, clean, well equipped house and ideally situated - a minute's (slow) walk from the sea front and a couple of minutes walk from the shops and local chip shop (which does delicious food). There is a ground floor twin bedroom and toilet and washbasin, which we require due to one of our family having walking difficulty.

It is an ideal base for exploring north Wales, Snowdonia etc. Llandudno is a few minutes drive away or for those wanting to "chill" the house has a patio with table and chairs and relaxer chairs. There's also cds and dvds, games and a selection of books to read.

Perfect!

Fantastic Stay at St David's House

Fantastic Stay at St David's House
  • 5 of 5
I recently stayed at St David's House in Rhos-On-Sea over the Easter weekend with my partner, her mum and our son (1). The house was immaculate when we arrived and all the rooms were extremely well furnished just as described in the listing. The house had all the amenities that you would require and given the cost the holiday was extremely good value. Pat was there to welcome us when we arrived and provided us with all the information that we required. The property is located 30 seconds walk from the sea front and about 2 minutes walk from shops and restaurants. Llandudno and Conway are short drives away also. I would definitely recommend St David's House to a friend and would certainly consider staying again.

The house was simply perfect in all respects. Warm, spotlessly clean,well-furnished and lovely views across the bay with everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable.
Hotel quality towels and bed linen added a touch of luxury.
Would highly recommend for people of all ages.
Owner very helpful and friendly but not constantly bothering you(which I have experienced at other rental properties.)

Good value for money Would be my first choice of where to stay next time I am in North Wales.

St.David`s House - more than just a holiday home.

  • 5 of 5
We, myself, hubby, daughter and 2 grandchildren aged 13 & 15 spent a great fortnight at St. David`s House.
The house was a perfect match to its website description and pictures. We received a friendly welcome from Pat, the owner, who was always close at hand to answer queries..
The bath & shower facilities were very good, beds were very comfortable with tons of wardrobe and drawer space. A spacious, comfortable lounge backed up by a further living area at the end of the kitchen gave us plenty of space to use: plus the patio area and well maintained garden providing a further sitting and dining area.
This is a very homely, comfortable and immaculately clean holiday house : indeed we would be happy to live there.
There is no shortage of places to visit from Rhos; some we went to were - the Welsh Mountain Zoo, Electric Mountain (Lanberis), Anglesey Sea Zoo and South Stack for bird-watching, Betws-y-coed and Swallow Falls, LLandudno ,of course, with all its attractions, Harness racing at Tir Prince with fair and market.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to friends etc: indeed I have already done so.
If you want smaller accommodation there there are St. David`s apartments next door for 2/3 people.
I have a feeling we may be back next year.

Rhos on Sea is a 'village by the sea', remaining unspoilt and still a relatively well kept secret!!

In a nutshell - small is beautiful in this charming seaside town located between big brothers Llandudno and Colwyn Bay.

If only all seaside towns could be like this – neat, pristine and peaceful. The long seafront walkway from Colwyn Bay takes in Rhos-on-Sea’s breakwater, where a little harbour has an atmosphere reminiscent of a West Wales coastal village and is home to many small boats.

There are daily fishing trips during the season, excellent launch facilities for day visitors, and a jetty just perfect for keeping the kids occupied for hours enjoying the traditional seaside pastime of 'crabbing'.

The sweeping promenade fringes a naturally sheltered bay that's perfect for pottering, paddling, kite flying and beach combing. Winter or summer it's a splendid walk (or jog!) and cycle path for people of all ages.

It’s not just the traditional promenade and lungfuls of salty sea air that attract walkers. Start your exploration from the tiny, roughly vaulted St Trillo’s Chapel at Rhos Point. Standing on the site of an ancient healing well, it’s the smallest church in Britain, seating only six. St Trillo’s is one of 26 historic sites on the circular Rhos-on-Sea Heritage Trail, which also takes in the remains of Bryn Euryn, a 5th-century hillfort with airy views. There are no less than 26 historic sites to discover on foot via the Rhos on Sea Heritage Trail.

As well as a Co-Operative and Spar food store (both open 7 days a week till late and within an easy stroll from St David's House), Rhos also has:-

* an excellent Butchers selling locally produced meat as well as home made sausages

* an Organic/Health food shop

* a Delicatessen offering cheeses and locally produced bread and pies etc

* a Bakery selling fresh bread, pies and cream cakes

* a Traditional Greengrocers selling locally produced fresh fruit and vegetables

* a Friday Country market selling locally produced jams, chutneys ready prepared meals, cakes, biscuits etc as well as a selection of home made gifts and garden plants

With many other interesting shops, pavement cafes, 2 pubs, several places to eat, the famous Harlequin Puppet Theatre and the historical St Trillo's Church, there's always something to do.
