About Bill Wood
Born and raised in NC, lived and worked in Charlotte until retiring in 2008 and used this house for years entertaining clients, friends and family for golf and fishing the South Toe. I have been flyfishing and playing golf for over 40 years and chose this area for my two favorite hobbies. After retirement and moving here permanently we soon bought another house in the development and I started guiding on the river and currently promoting my business to corporate and individual outings as well. Please visit our website at www.blueridgeguideservices.com for a complete listing of information about our home and local attractions.
Bill Wood purchased this house in 1999
Why Bill Wood chose Little Switzerland
Purchased property for quality golf and trout fishing in 1999 for my family trips, client entertaining, and groups of friends to stay. Yancey Co. is still a small county with the local flare of an old timey area with no crowds and just good people.
What makes this house unique
You can see the peak of Mt. Mitchell from the front porch and back deck. The house is perfect for accommodating 8 people with their own beds and 4 full baths, game room w/pool table, foosball table and card table. 2 large decks for enjoying the afternoons, cool nights and looking at the stars at night with a feeling of being closer to heaven.
