Our family purchased this property after an exhaustive search throughout the Southwest Florida region. We loved the remote and natural feel of the area and can't get enough of the natural beauty of the Pine Island Sound. We hope to spend many years enjoying the house and fishing the Sound.
My husband went fishing with friends about ten years prior to our buying the property. He couldn't stop talking about the natural scenary, the fishing, and the great people he met. When we began our search for a home in the area we looked for exactly what he recalled. When we saw our home we knew it was a place we could spend many years gazing at the view and exploring the waterways.
The view and deck won us over. With a young daughter I may not get to go fishing everyday but I have a spot that is relaxing and beautiful on the days I don't make it out on the boat. The walk in shower in the master bedroom makes me feel like a million dollars after a long day on the water. The main living area is open; easy to keep an eye on the kids and nice to cook and still be able to take part in the conversation.
Pine Island is Florida's best kept secret. Pine Island is one of the best places in the country for fishing (snook, redfish, trout, cobia, and some of the best tarpon fishing in the world). Cayo Costa State Park (7 miles of untouched beach) is just a short boat ride away. The vibe is casual island with none of the built up high rises that can block the great views. Take a tour on the kayak to see the untouched beauty in the area.
