Bend House Rental Photos and Description
House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8)
Experience Bend like a local in this new, modern, and eco-friendly vacation home on the desirable westside! All the conveniences of home are waiting for you -- WiFi, cable TV, three comfortable bedrooms, an upscale gourmet kitchen -- at a central location ideal for exploring downtown Bend, Mt. Bachelor, and nearby mountain lakes.
The stylish, mid-century modern living room will definitely make an impression. A black leather couch, retro 50s chairs and tables, and a splash of color from the modern art on the wall create a swanky yet relaxing environment. Put your feet up and watch DVDs on the flat-screen TV, or just kick back with a martini and warm yourself in front of the gas fireplace.
Like any home, the heart of the downstairs is the kitchen. Located between the living and dining rooms, this bright and sleek contemporary space awaits your culinary experiments. A large breakfast bar has stool seating for six, encouraging guests to sit and sip morning tea and coffee in style. This gourmet kitchen is a foodie's dream come true with stainless steel appliances, butcher block counters, recessed lighting, and a large collection of pots, pans, plates, and glassware. Celebrate your time in Bend with a home-cooked meal made with organic produce from the nearby specialty market. Not feeling like playing the chef? One of Bend's best ethnic restaurants, Kebaba Modern Middle Eastern Foods, is only two blocks away, so you can easily bring back saffron prawn kebabs, carrot and feta jam, and flatbread for a tasty, no-fuss meal!
The dining room and a small office area are on the other side of the kitchen, viewable through a semi-open space under the kitchen's fashionable display shelving. A pass-through design makes serving from the kitchen very easy. Seating for six is located at the table, under an arty glass chandelier. The dining room features French doors leading out onto a private side yard with wood slat fencing. The patio has extra seating for outdoor dining and enjoying the sunny Bend afternoons, and a gas grill is all ready for lazy afternoon barbecues.
This open downstairs space has shiny, completely allergen-free concrete floors throughout. In the summer, they stay delightfully cool and in the winter, your toes will stay toasty with ambient heat from below. Care was taken in this house to use natural rather than synthetic materials to develop a clean living and aesthetically pleasing space. Downstairs, there is also a half bathroom with water-saving features.
Heading upstairs, the master suite will be your own private oasis within the home. Tall ceilings, a bamboo slat headboard, and luxurious linens on the king-sized bed create a peaceful space. Modern sliding doors lead out to a balcony with seating among the treetops. There's also a flat screen TV, a small seating area, and a ceiling fan for a cool breeze. This retro-chic space will lull you to a great night's sleep in no time!
The spa-like master bath has environmentally-friendly cork flooring, and bright yellow accents. A large walk-in shower features a rain shower head, and the separate soaking tub provides a relaxing respite from the day's adventures.
A queen sized bed, comfortable reading chair, and a small desk make up the second bedroom. There are floral accents throughout this room and a large picture window for keeping an eye on the neighborhood below. The third bedroom has two full sized beds, a ceiling fan, and geometric striped bedding in cool blues and greens.
Another full bathroom is located on this side of the upstairs and is easily shared between these two bedrooms. It also has cork flooring and a tub/shower combination. While you're out exploring Bend, feel free to get as dirty as you want, because the upstairs laundry room has an energy efficient washer and dryer at your disposal. This wonderfully cool home is also pet friendly for a small dog with a $10/per day fee. Besides your furry friend, six people can comfortably stay in the three bedrooms here, although the maximum occupancy is eight if you have a few extra guests tagging along with sleeping bags in tow.
After a pleasant 15 to 20 minute walk through quiet neighborhoods and across the Deschutes River, you'll be in downtown Bend. Play a game of frisbee in Drake Park, stop in at the Bend Distillery Martini Bar for drinks and snacks, or peruse the galleries along bustling Bond and Wall streets. The Old Mill District shops and Les Schwab amphitheater are just a short bike ride or car drive away.
In the summer, there's white water rafting on the river and ample hiking in the Deschutes National Forest, in addition to mountain biking and rock climbing opportunities nearby. For a day trip, head 25 miles east to Sparks Lake. An easy one mile hiking loop contains amazing panoramic views you'll want to remember, so bring your camera! For a more challenging hike, the nearby Green Lakes trail is a moderate 4.5 miles that passes by plenty of waterfalls, wildflowers,
