Charleston House Rental Photos and Description

Modern delightful town house close to everything you'll need

Only 10 minutes easy drive into the heart of the city across the Ravenel bridge, 5 minutes drive through the low country marshland to the sandy beaches at Sullivan's Island and a short stroll to the historic Old Village of Mt Pleasant or the restaurants and bars on beautiful Shem Creek for a sunset cocktail looking out across the shrimp boats...wonderful!

Our modern, light and airy 3 level townhouse home has full facilities and a screened deck to enjoy morning coffee or an evening drink plus a double garage to keep your car in the shade.

The top floor has two large bedrooms, both with spacious en-suite bathrooms to ensure privacy for all guests, and a laundry room with washer and dryer.

The open plan living area on 2nd floor has a fully equipped kitchen delightfully flooded with daylight from both sides of the house, a separate dining area and a large lounge space with cable TV plus DVD player and a small balcony looking down on to the communal garden area and fountain. The whole house has secure wi-fi.

The local farmers market is located right across the street every Tuesday from Spring thru Fall for fresh produce and great cooked food and snacks, and Coleman Blvd has plenty more quality boutique restaurants, bars and coffee shops within an easy walk or drive.

Make this your ‘holiday home’ in South Carolina and enjoy it as much as we do!

About Judy Piercy

We are from the UK and have lived in Mt Pleasant for over 6 years while working and traveling throughout the USA. We now divide our time between Charleston and London, England.

Judy Piercy purchased this house in 2012

Why Judy Piercy chose Charleston

We absolutely love this house as it has all the charm of the South but with the feel of a quality London town house with high ceilings and lots of light as well as a great location. Our adult children love to visit us here and we want other people to be able to enjoy it the same way we do. Spacious, light and comfortable, and so convenient to all the best that Charleston can offer.

What makes this house unique

Ronda is our wonderful housekeeper who lives nearby and will make sure everything is perfect for your arrival!

We also have a professional cook available who can prepare and deliver ready meals.

Family bonding time

  • 5 of 5
We stayed at this lovely townhome over the weekend. The townhome was well equipped, bright and cozy. We felt at home right away. Very private and quiet area. The property manager Ronda was very helpful. The location was great as there were plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Going into Charleston and to area attractions was very easy. The owner Judy was very responsive to our inquiries and we were able to get the townhome for 3 nights as we requested. It does have stairs, but we found them quite manageable and we are all in our late 50s and 60s. Thanks Judy and Ronda! We had a lovely time and the house exceeded our expectations.

Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5
We stayed in this condo the week of July 4th. It is a wonderful home, perfectly suited for two couples. The location is outstanding because you are less than 5 miles from the bridge that goes to downtown Charleston and you can be there in less than 15 minutes. It is about 4 miles to Sullivan's Island and the beach along with Fort Moultrie. You are 3 miles from Patriot's Point and about 7 miles from Boone Hall Plantation. Garage parking is provided and the area is surrounded by great restaurants. We dined at Red's Ice House (don't go on Monday nights unless you want to wait a long time because it's crab leg special night) and the Okra Grill. Both are less than 2 miles away.
The unit itself is 3 stories with two flights of stairs from the garage to the bedrooms on the third floor. Both bedrooms have their own bath and one BR has a television. The screen porch was very nice and the kitchen is very well stocked for cooking. We enjoyed our own shrimp boil after getting shrimp just down the road at the Mt. Pleasant Seafood market. If you are going to Charleston, this place is perfect for a home base for your visit!

Perfect for 2 couples!

We enjoyed your home very much! So comfortable and inviting. We were in town to celebrate a very special birthday with friends. The guys golfed nearby and we girls enjoyed an Upper King Street Culinary tour (highly recommend) and a fabulous day at Earthling Day Spa on Bay St.! Dinners at S.N.O.B., Poe's and Red's were all wonderful. The home furnishings were great, especially the double sofas in the living room, as there was lots of March Madness on the TV. The construction woke us up on Saturday morning, however we needed to get up for a tee time and coffee! We also appreciated your well stocked bookshelves in the dining room, great selection! We hope to be back in the fall!

Most comfortable home-away-from-home!

  • 5 of 5
Our recent stay was quite perfect. We found everything we needed and felt so comfortable. The construction was not a problem and the workers were so kind. The housekeeper couldn't have been more precious! We felt pampered and rested when we left. While we didn't like the 3-levels when moving in and out, it really wasn't a problem. We didn't take in all the extras in the area since we couldn't stay longer. That will have to be on another visit one day.

everything we were looking for

  • 5 of 5
We don't get away often, but this was an oasis for our family. We arrived on New Year's Day to a rainy, cold Charlestown. We found this place nicer than what we had seen in the photos. The house was decorated just right, not too stuffy, but comfortable and cozy. Every detail was tended too. All major appliances from a coffee maker,, coffee press, tart pans, springform pans, a full set of kitchen knives (yes we are chefs), incredibly comfortable beds, fluffy towels and the nicest blanket for cuddling up to watch tv with. After a couple hours, we truly felt we were at home and were sad to leave. The location was great, being just 7 minutes from downtown Charlestown, yet still being close to a nice grocery store an other retail shopping. We felt we lucked out on this property...just wish the weather was warmer and the stay was longer.

Lovely Home and Great Location!

  • 5 of 5
I just wanted to thank you for sharing your lovely home with us during our recent Charleston visit! Love, love, love your house and your decorating tastes! It was just so warm and cozy, and really felt like a home. Such a wonderful place to come to after busy days running around and trying to soak up all there is to do and see! We were able to laze on the beach and run all over the city as well. You have wonderful friends and caretakers that were so helpful!

Well, back to reality at home. So nice to have great vacation memories as we go forward :)

The house is in a delightful, quiet, upscale development, tucked away behind Coleman Boulevard.

The Boulevard itself has everything you could need within walking distance, including a Starbucks, banks, gift shops and local caterers offering quality ready meals to buy. Wholefoods and Traders Joe are a 5 mins drive and fresh seafood is available direct from the fishermen and shrimpers on Shem Creek.

There are countless boutique restaurants and bars all within easy walking distance of the house and a short 5 mins drive will take you to the Islands and downtown to add even more choices for your culinary delight.

Our particular favorites are Poe's on Sullivans Island, The Post House in the Old Village (walkable from the house), SNOB and High Cotton downtown.

Watch the dolphins at sunset on Shem Creek, while you enjoy a drink or a meal in one of the excellent restaurants and creek side bars there.

For the summer season the local Farmers Market is 2 mins stroll away every Tuesday, while the bigger market is downtown in Marion Square on Saturdays.

Join locals as they walk the Pitt St Bridge to see the Intra Coastal Waterway, the Ravenel Bridge with its wonderful view of Charleston Harbor and the new Shem Creek nature walk.

The whole area is rich in history. Fort Sumpter, Middleton Plantation, Magnolia Gardens and Boon Hall are a must as well as all the houses and sites of downtown Charleston.

Culturally Charleston is alive with wonderful opportunities. Go on an art walk or a horse carriage ride, check out the massive annual Spoletto Festival.
