My husband Mario and I like to collaborate on all our ventures! Yes, we can't be bound by the 9-5 sort of living while raising our four sons. We are both photographers and own Bella Faccia Foto, you will see some of our photography throughout our casita. We do many things aside from take pictures in the entertainment industry, for me, my most important work is empowering women through service and community. I am a Sacred Pregnancy Mentor and Mother Roaster, which means I care for new moms just after birth. My husband's new passion is as a coffee bean roaster, he has created some of the best coffee blends for Belli Fratelli Roasters, along with toss pizza at famous Vito's Pizza in West Hollywood, which is our brother's business (some of the best pizza you will have in LA). Both Mario and I take great pride in all that we do, and hope to bring you the best experience while staying in Casita Di Donato.
Tnah Di Donato purchased this house in 2001
We lived in the front house on Reservoir for four years, during that time we transformed it into the loving home that it is now. If you want to fall in love, get married, get pregnant.... or simply relax.... this house is for you. We have not only birthed a couple of babies here, we have had three long term tenants get married and pregnant while staying in both of our homes on this property. All we can say is it has great love juju and can't wait for you to come and experience it's good vibes.
This house is very private and we love that all the windows can stay open throughout the night with no worry. The fact that there is so much to walk to in every direction is such a great feature, especially in a city as big as Los Angeles.
My wife and I were in town for 2 days and had a wonderful stay in this charming casita. It was quiet and cozy, tucked away from the neighborhood. It was an walkable to Silver Lake and Sunset and the growing list of hip stores and restaurants in the area. The area has clearly undergone a transition over the years and we felt completely safe at all times. Tnah was very welcoming and helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Casita. The cottage was sweet and very clean which is important to us. It is in a great location in Silver Lake. There was all the special touches...the lovely food basket and items in the fridge, the alarm clock set to start lovely music upon our arrival, the serene water fountain outside the door that can be heard with the windows opened, the fabulous coffee beans, the decor, the Easter decorations and the fully equipped kitchen. The Casita was stocked with many of our necessities, there was great attention to detail and great energy. All so lovely with the comforts of home. We will definitely try to stay here again.
It's always nice to find a VRBO that is, as was advertised.
What a comfortable place. Great location for our needs. Lots of great eats near by, especially up near Los Feliz.
Love the parking behind our own security gate. Nice welcome basket full of goodies....
Wish we could have visited the family restaurant in Hollywood, next time!! And there will be a next time, and when there is, we will be staying here.
Thank you again for helping to make our weekend get away a success. See ya again, soon.

My husband, 7-year-old son and I stayed for 3 nights in December. The house was just as represented and super cute. The welcome basket was wonderful. The owners are kind and responsive. We felt very secure there. It was also quite clean, cutely decorated and well-stocked with kitchen gadgets and extra linens. The queen bed was very comfortable. The cot/rollaway and couch were also comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. The location was great--as we needed to go both East and West--easy access to Glendale & Pasadena to the East and Hollywood to the West. I highly recommend!
My husband and I could not have asked for a more welcoming, hospitable and comfortable rental to spend Thanksgiving week and enjoy Thanksgiving dinner entertaining our son and daughter-in-law, as well as our grand-DOG-ter who live nearby in an LA apartment. Tnah has created a lovely homey environment, and accomodated our needs with meticulous detail and warmth, as well as extras above and beyond. Nice residential neighborhood with stores, restaurants and buses within walking distance so not necessary to venture farther into LA traffic. Yet when driving is warranted, there is easy access in any direction and there is always a parking space waiting back home ... how convenient! It is great to know that we never have to search for a place to stay again ... as long as we book in enough time before the property is already rented!! This was a wonderful find and highly recommended ... looking forward to more visits!!
I spent a month at the Casita while looking for permanent housing in the neighborhood. The location is fantastic - you can walk two blocks to Sunset Blvd, with great food, drink, shopping, yoga, you name it. Despite being close to the action of Silver Lake, the bungalow itself is incredibly private and peaceful. There's lots of trees, flowers, and even squirrels running around outside your window. There's a private fenced yard that my dog absolutely loved. And a private parking spot right outside the front door. The furnishings were great - it had everything that I needed to live comfortably for a month. And the host makes the most delicious basket of fine foods to welcome you on arrival - homemade hummus! I'd highly recommend the Casita to anyone looking for a quiet retreat in the Silverlake area.
Most people love the ease of our place and how close it is to walk to coffee shops, downtown, Mohawk Bend, The Echo, Elf, both a Hatha and Ashtanga yoga studio, Down Beat Cafe, Dodger Stadium and much more the Eastside's hip restaurants/nightlife.Walk 2 minutes to local metro transit line that can either take you straight to Santa Monica beach ( 40 min) or downtown's Union Station with its Amtrak connections and the new Fly Away Airport Bus, which are just 10 minute drive or bus ride.
Walk to the beautiful Silverlake reservoir (with running path and doggy-park) in less then 15 min.
10 minutes to Los Feliz,
14 minutes to the heart of Hollywood or in the other direction downtown.
15 minutes to the closest point to the Hollywood sign,
5 minutes to China Town,
20-30 minutes to West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Melrose, etc. We have two bicycles avail at your request that can be used during the duration of your stay.
