The main level of the split level home features a gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, large kitchen island with bar seating, and a connected dining area with seating for 6. The living room boasts a 55-inch LED LCD flatscreen TV hooked up to surround sound speakers for a better viewing experience. The main level lanai has additional seating, as well as a BBQ grill for those nights when you want to cook up some fresh island fish from the Kawaihae Fish Market, or perhaps some grass-fed Big Island steaks!

those who don't handle stairs so well, and with access to the full bathroom with walk-in shower also on the main level, they're all set.
Going down the stairs, you arrive at the family room/den, with another flatscreen TV, and a luxury pullout Tempur-Pedic sofabed for additional guests. You can access the pool deck from here, where the 'spool' awaits. A combination spa and pool, this unique water feature is the perfect complement to your tropical vacation, with a jetted seating area and a fountain.
The master bedroom features a Cal-king sized Tempur-Pedic bed with matching end tables and dresser, high ceilings, and an en suite bathroom with a soaking tub which looks out to the golf course, and a walk-in shower, as well as a separate toilet, dual sinks, and a large walk-in closet.
A third bedroom towards the back also boasts a Cal-king Tempur-Pedic bed, and features a private lanai with a sitting area, just right for reading the paper in the morning with a cup of Kona coffee. An adjoining full bathroom with a tub/shower combo services this bedroom as well as the downstairs den.

The unit itself is a smashing corner unit with greater than 180 degree views. Waking up to a views of manicured grass and coconut trees conveying wind direction against a sky reflective of the blues of the Pacific was inspiring. The pool was the perfect size for little ones braving their first attempt of independent swimming in an easy to monitor environment and for adults, it's big enough for a cool off dip or just to hang out. The unit is designed so that the pool can be enjoyed without worrying paper plates or floaty toys taking off in unpredictable breezes and the sunning time is perfect. The unit's interiors were well thought out. It felt luxurious yet cozy, open yet private, great for casual entertainment and functional for family. The kitchen floor plan was well organized where everything needed was easily found and cleaning up was simple. The unit was well stocked with all the essentials: salt , pepper, garlic salt, trash bags, toilet paper, etc and other surprise items like bikes for which bike paths are available for easy access everywhere. Best vacation ever.
We recently return from the Big Island and our stay at Kamilo in Mauna Lani. What a great vacation! The listing description and photos were completely accurate. The property was very clean and well maintained. The property manager, Burt Bonk, was very helpful and took care of our every need. Not only would we recommend this property to friends and family we can't wait to come back next year!
We stayed for two weeks in this lovely home close to Kona. The area is in Mauna Lani
and KaMilo is the housing area. The home is large, clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Everything is brand new in the house and the tempur-pedic beds are
so great. The views from the house of the golf course, ocean and mountains are
spectacular. The home is close to many first class hotels and restaurants and shopping centers. We were very pleased with this home and really enjoyed staying there. Bert,
the rental person was very nice and helpful. We can definitely recommend this home
for a great vacation on the Big Island in Hawaii. We will return and stay at this home.
Our time at KaMilo and at this unit was special. Gorgeous home and decor. Spacious with much room for our family; from crawling infant, children, young and older adults to move about. All very comfortable beds and furniture. Good size kitchen with large island. Loved the master bathroom as well as the way the bedrooms and other bathrooms were situated lending to privacy. Pool was fun and convenient. Also had many of laughs at the spacious community pool. Had fun riding the bikes, visiting the ponds and swimming at the clear and clean beach short drive away. Thank you, Kai, for your assistance to our needs! It was a family gathering to cherish!
We stayed at this house for 5 days as part of a mini vacation to Kona. We had seen Kamilo before and were drawn to its pools, Mauna lani beach club membership and the nice atmosphere. We enjoyed the house which is brand new and slept very well in the wonderful beds.Kai was very helpful and attentive. We will come back for more
