Many of my guests comment on how reasonable my rates are and that they're below market for the accommodations. My motivation for offering such great rates is that I want the home to have as close to full occupancy as possible, and I like a win-win! I hope you book your stay at my home.
What a find! Cozy, yet, spacious home in an awesome, quiet neighborhood. Sleep like a baby, grab a cup of coffee and go for a walk on the beach. What a wonderful way to start the day. Sit on the vast outdoor living room deck with the fire pit on and watch the sun go down.
Walking distance to the famous Swami's beach for families and those who want to surf this iconic break. Moonlight Beach is at the end of Encinitas Blvd so just a few minute drive.
Encinitas is in the News!!
2013 - In a Bloomberg Magazine interview a New York chef is asked what his favorite Seafood restaurant is and he profiles Leucadia's Fish101 as one of the best fish joints in the country.
*Spring 2014 - Surfer Magazine ranked Encinitas as the #1 surf destination! (Hawaii came in 2nd and 3rd, wow.)
*July 2014 - National Geographic ranked Encinitas the #1 Local Beach in America!
*July 2014 - GQ Magazine profiled a local model/actress and our town of Encinitas.
Located five streets west of Hwy 5 and 1 block east of 101 and walking distance to Swami's Beach, a few minute drive to Moonlight Beach, 4 minutes to the San Diego Botanical Gardens, 10 minutes to Legoland, 20 minutes to SeaWorld and 23 miles to the airport.
Dining & Shopping
Coast Hwy 101 has more than 25 restaurants with an impressive variety of cuisines to tempt any palette. The stores and boutiques are wonderful and you can spend hours just walking from shop to shop. Also, enjoy the Meditation Gardens on the bluff, breathtaking!
The sunsets are spectacular so bring your camera. I still take pictures of the vibrant colors and my daughter said, 'Mom, I never get tired of this view.' Come and enjoy it, too.
Families love the large yard and swing set. This cute 1950's beach cottage sits on a large lot in the Highlands area of Encinitas. It's a 2-story house with a master bedroom (which is lovely), living room (with queen sleeper sofa), dining area, kitchen and two wonderful decks. It has new flooring, light fixtures and fans, a new stainless steel refrigerator, stove and chopping block. Of course, pots and pans, silverware, dishes, plates and bowls, wine glasses, sippy cups, infant spoons and bowls, paper plates, cooking utensils, microwave, toaster, chopping block and coffee maker are provided. Beach towels and bath towels as well. I provide paper towels, toilet paper and tissues. You also have access to a washer and dryer, detergent included. There is a BBQ on the deck off the kitchen for you to use.
I have kid movies on VHS and DVD plus AT&T U-Verse, HBO, Showtime, etc...and free WiFi. Lots of family board games, card decks, coloring books and crayons. Bed linens, pillows and blankets, beach towels and toys & boogie boards, too.
The downstairs has a bedroom with a brand new queen sleigh bed and mattress, TV, closet, full-length mirror, futon/sofa, chair and nightstand. There is a 1/2 bath next to that bedroom. The front room is the entrance from the street. The space is large and comfortable, great for teenagers, too. This is a great family house.
This is an adorable house in a great location to Downtown 101 and the beach. It is quiet and located in one of the most coveted neighborhoods in coastal Encinitas. Come and relax with family and friends.
There is an outdoor fireplace and swing set. The yard is great for the kids to run around and play. Take another look at the photos.
Enjoy BBQ'ing, gathering at the outdoor fireplace in the evening and a walk to town to shop or enjoy a drink at one of the great restaurants.
You can enjoy this cute beach cottage in a quiet neighborhood and still be close enough to the action at the beaches and 101.

I've lived in Encinitas sine 1990. I have two homes on the same large lot and always rented this home on a lease basis and this year decided to offer it as a vacation rental. I hope you enjoy the house and neighborhood as much as I and my neighbors do.
Mary purchased this house in 1990
Why Mary chose Encinitas
This is a cute beach cottage with new appliances, flooring, 2 decks to enjoy the outdoors, walking distance to Coast Hwy 101 to visit the shops and restaurants, and the beach. It's a great property!
What makes this house unique
The location can't be beat plus you have a lot of space and privacy in this 2-story home. It has an outdoor fireplace, outdoor kitchen, large private lot, and a swing set for the kids. Lots of amenities, I tried to think of everything you might need and enjoy. :)
