A New Orleans Wedding

  • 5 of 5

My daughter was Married in New Orleans in April of 2014. We, my husband and I Orlando, and my Father and Mom from Colorado stayed at this property. The area is a family friendly area, and the house makes you feel right at home, and with the true feel of the city. I love the claw foot tub! Location was great, house was great and the memories created there were great! Little did I know that the time spent there would be the last time I saw my father. He passed away In April of this year. So this house and the time spent with my family made it so important to have the perfect place. Thank you so much. I would recommend this listing to anyone who would like the true taste of New Orleans!

Great location and house

  • 4 of 5

The house was comfortable, clean, and close to Maple Avenue restaurants and the trolley. Cathleen was very accommodating, especially since I realized I had booked for one night less than I needed. The only negative was the lack of a shower and moderately comfortable beds. Everything else was terrific.

Beautiful Home

  • 3 of 5

Enjoyed our stay and loved the house, but the house does need some TLC. The bathroom vanity light fixture does not work, the ceiling fan in the bedroom is noisy so cannot be used, there is a leaky pipe in the bathroom, either tub or washing machine. People who have stayed there before have left opened milk and beverage containers in the refrigerator. The potholes in the streets of this neighborhood are horrendous and very dangerous, so you need to be very careful when walking or driving. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

New Orleans

The house was perfect for the 3 of us. It is close to transportation. Showering was a bit of a challange without a curtain but we made it work. Very clean and comfortable.

Perfect in Every Way

  • 5 of 5

Cathleen's home was perfect in every way. Exceptionally clean, beautiful, shinning hardwood floors, large windows with lots of sunlight, large rooms, comfortable beds and linens, fantastic front porch and back patio. The neighborhood is very quiet and charming. The neighbors were all super friendly and spoke highly of Cathleen. Safe, secure, and interesting area. Walk to bars and corner cafes. This is the perfect place to stay in New Orleans. Five Stars!!!

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Excellent location; a cozy, clean, charming historical house that was way better than a hotel for my small family. The hostess is gracious and efficient and highly professional. If you want to see what it might be like to actually live in New Orleans, while still being very close to all the city's main attractions , stay here. We loved walking to Audobon park in the morning after stopping by the local pastry and coffee shop. The St. Charles Ave trolley is just 5 or 6 blocks away.

This is the perfect place to explore all that uptown New Orleans has to offer. Four blocks from the historic St. Charles streetcar line that can take you downtown to the French Quarter. Charming neighborhood, just blocks from the intersection of St. Charles and Carrollton Avenue, is a great spot for families or university parents. Five block walk to Tulane, eight blocks to Loyola. Maple Street, Oak Street and Riverbend business districts are all within just a few blocks.

There are dozens of cafes and restaurants within a short walk of the house! Adam's Street Grocery makes the best poboys in town and is only 2 blocks away. Satsuma's on Maple is three blocks away and is great for a casual brunch or coffee. Jacques Imo's has some of the best New Orleans style food around and it's right next to the world famous Maple Leaf music club on Oak Street.
