The 'Wildflower' is a Lake Arrowhead Heritage cabin built in the 1920s. Originally used as housing for the Forest Service, it has been our family cabin for 25 years that we would love to share with you. The Wildflower has beautiful knotty pine walls throughout, wide plank wood floors and the original brick fireplace. You will love spending snowy winter nights next to a roaring fire in the fireplace watching movies. Or, there is nothing better than enjoying drinks and having starters on the deck in the summer while taking in the nature that surrounds the cabin. Treat yourself and cook a romantic, gourmet meal in our vintage kitchen on the Wedgwood stove. Or, why not read a book in the loft if you just feel like relaxing and doing nothing. For those who love to be on the go, take a walk through the beautiful streets of Crest Estates with lots of nature and beautiful trees. There is also the Heaps Peak Arboretum nearby that our guest love. You will get an incredible nights sleep on the super comfortable queen bed and return home refreshed after your stay here. For those who prefer to be in touch we have high speed wifi. The Wildflower Cabin has a plethora of birds that you can watch all day long as they feed and enjoy the bird bath out front. We have a book on birds so you can read about each one.
The Cabin’s location is key, just off Hwy 18 and 173 in the Crest Estates. You are a 3 minute drive or a nice long hike to Lake Arrowhead and The Lake Arrowhead Village where there is shopping and many restaurants to choose from. With easy proximity to the main highway you can get up and down the hill quickly or head on to Snow Valley and Snow Summit for a day of skiing and snow boarding.

About Jolene Clarke
The Clarke family is the second generation to own this one of a kind, historic charmer. The original owner was my mother, Jolene Smith, who fulfilled her dream of having a weekend cabin in Lake Arrowhead in 1995. She loved the yearly wildflowers that surround the cabin, thus the name. Sadly, my mom passed away in 2009. We are forever grateful that she left us with so many great memories and also her most prized possession, The Wildflower Cabin. About us, Gary is from New Jersey and had a career in Medicine and retired in 1999. Me, Jolene, named after my mom, I am a native Californian who grew up 'down the hill,' in Redlands. I attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where I received a degree in Interior Design and a teaching credential. I taught Middle School Consumer Economics for 10 years and have worked as and Interior Designer in California, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. We now live in Tamarindo, Costa Rica where we own and operate our family business, Villa Andalucia Designer Hotel. Our son Brooks, who has spent most of his life growing up in Costa Rica, works with us. Brooks is our amazing tour guide, boat Capitan and surf instructor. Brooks is also an incredible fly and real fisherman, free diver and all around waterman. Brooks is the Capitan of the “Pica Pica.” in Tamarindo. We are a family run business, come see us in Tamarindo if you ever decide to put Costa Rica on your vacation destination list, we would love to have you. Hospitality is what we do!

Why Jolene Clarke chose Lake Arrowhead
It’s no accident that Lake Arrowhead is the getaway choice for Southern Californians and vacationers from around the word. I have been coming here since I was a child and have so many great memories. I am thrilled that I have a small retreat for two to enjoy and love staying here myself on our vacations. There is nothing more beautiful than the Alpine styled village covered in snow in the winter or the glistening sun on Lake Arrowhead in the summer. Come see for yourself.
What makes this cabin unique
When I drive up and see The Wildflower Cabin it puts a huge smile on my face, I know it will do the same for you. With one bedroom and one bath this cabin is perfect for two people. The best part is that it is a single story with no stairs to climb! I love having the dutch door open and hearing the birds sing in the trees. There is nothing better than cooking up pancakes on the griddle on a cold winter morning with a fresh brewed cup of Costa Rican coffee that I leave for our guest to enjoy. The location is perfect as you can be anywhere, the lake, golf, antiquing, hiking, fishing and skiing or snowboarding in just minutes.
