The Grand Sierra Resort is the best in Reno and the amenities are second to none. It has valet parking or free lot parking and a free airport shuttle. Many areas of the resort have been recently renovated and upgraded.
The resort includes fine dining restaurants, casual dining and several other cafes and buffets. The Grand Sierra also has some of the best bars, lounges and nightclubs in the area.
In addition to the 80,000 square-foot casino - which boasts one of the best sports books in town - the resort has dozens of other activities to keep everyone entertained including a beach-style pool with cabanas and poolside food and drink service, a discount cinema, 24-hour bowling alley, go-carts, mini-golf, game arcades, golf driving range and a lot more. There is also a fully-equipped fitness center and spa.
And those are just the features of the resort itself! You can rent a car from the on-site Enterprise car rental desk and explore the other things the Reno area has to offer or take the short drive up to Lake Tahoe!
Effective immediately, reservations are subject to a mandatory 13% 'transient tax'. I apologize for any inconvenience but I guess the local government didn't feel like they were getting enough of your money. There is also a mandatory 'resort fee' of $10/day (plus tax) that is charged by the Grand Sierra. You will be charged that fee by the Grand Sierra at the time of your stay. HOWEVER, the resort fee includes WiFi internet access for guests and the WiFi coverage for my room can sometimes be a little spotty. The Grand Sierra is working to improve the WiFi coverage but in the meantime, they have promised that if any guest needs WiFi and can't get it, to tell the front desk and the resort fee will be waived. I don't have any influence on whether or not the resort fee is charged so I can't promise that they will waive it, but I know of at least one instance where they have.
Special rates and additional discounts available for long-term rentals (7 to 28 days). Contact me if you're interested!

I've been going to the Grand Sierra Resort ever since I moved to Reno. In my opinion it is the best resort in the area. When I had the opportunity to purchase one of the condo units at the resort, I jumped at it. There is no better place to get relaxed, entertained and pampered in Reno!
The rental rates are cheap compared to what you'd pay booking through the GSR. This is an excellent way to enjoy all of the benefits of the Grand Sierra at a lower cost!
