I have always enjoyed real estate and the water. Have lived in the Tampa Bay area for more than 20 years. Love getting out and enjoying the water and all that the area has to offer. Enjoy fishing and cooking fresh fish for my girls.
David Dilday purchased this house in 2012
This is like a piece of old Florida with it's quaint little towns and water front restaurants. Love the direct access to the Gulf, fishing, crabbing, kayaking, and watching sunrises and sunsets. Sit and relax under the shade of the old pecan tree and feel the cool breezes and listen to the sound of the birds as your stress melts away. Very relaxing and peaceful. It is very close to most major attractions like Busch Gardens, MOSI, Disney, Clearwater Beach, Tarpon Sponge Docks, etc.
Love getting up early in the morning with cup of tea or coffee and watching the sunrise over the water.
Also love having a great meal at Sam's on the Gulf and then going for an ice cream at the Ice Cream Shop down the street.
Equipped with kayaks and bikes for your enjoyment.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful beach home with our family. We enjoyed the comfortable home. Fishing was a lot of fun. Hope to be back again soon.
We could not have been more pleased with this home away from home! Beautiful, comfortable, quiet, and clean; plus well-stocked...everything we needed and then some. Enjoyed the patio, sunporch, dock, kayaks and bikes every day of our stay and did lots of fishing, grilling, and mostly...relaxing!!! Close to everything yet far away from the hustle bustle. We can't wait to stay again!
This house has the basics, nothing fancy, a bit outdated but I believe it's a great value and the cruiser bicycles were a blast to explore the neighborhood and ride to the beach definitely should not be missed. The view in back yard was beautiful, relaxing and worth the stay on its own. I wish we could've taken the kyacks out but a bit too chilly during our stay. I'd definitely stay here again and enjoyed the home & neighborhood. All the neighbors gave a big hello while we rode the bikes locally.
Paradise Palms is a great place to stay. The house was clean when we arrived, comfortable and had many extras that one would not expect in a rental. A good location for day trips.
We really enjoyed Paradise Palms! It wasn't warm enough for us to use the kayaks, but we grilled on the patio and watched the birds - and we even had a dolphin in the canal one morning! The home is well-kept and David is a great host. The DVD player gave up the ghost one night and he was there the next morning with a replacement. It was nice that we were able to bring our dog. Veterans Memorial Park is not too far (10 or 15 minuted), and we walked there with the dog quite often. We also visited Homosassa Springs and Honeymoon Park, both within an hour's drive. We would definitely stay here again!
My husband and I wanted a weekend away and this was just that. The backyard opened up to a canal so we were able to fish in between rain storms. We enjoyed the huge tv while it rained. We were also able to bring our 3 dogs which is almost impossible to find.
The weather was raining on and off so my husband and I enjoyed the enormous TV and the convenience of fishing from the backyard in between rain storms. I needed a weekend away to relax and that's exactly what I got. My 3 doggies came with us which made this stay away from home even better. Will definitely be coming back with the kids in the future. Bring a small fan for the back porch as its not ventilated very well. Besides that it was great!
Come enjoy the relaxing, quiet, tropical breezes of Paradise Palms. Watch a beautiful sunrise over the water, go fishing off the dock, go kayaking or bike riding to the beach with the included kayaks and bikes.
Hudson Beach is a small relaxing beach, 5 minutes away from the house, where you can lay in the sun or play in the sand. There are also swings for the kids to enjoy. There are many great beach restaurants within a mile – Sam’s Beach Bar, Inn on the Gulf, Hurricane Hanks and Ollie Oysters. There are several stores within a mile of the house, including a Wal-Mart Supercenter, Winn Dixie Grocery, and Walgreen’s Drug. There are several major restaurants, a shopping mall and movie theatres a short drive away. A major hospital, Bayonet Point Medical Center, is less than 5 minutes away.
A little farther south is the famous Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks where you can walk the streets of this quaint Greek town and enjoy their delicious food. Traveling further south are the cities of Tampa, Clearwater & St. Petersburg. Enjoy Busch Gardens, MOSI, or any of the numerous beaches. A little farther north is Weekie Wachee Springs State Park, known for its mermaid shows. Only 1-1/2 hours east of us is Orlando famous for Disney World, Universal Studios & Sea World. If you're a golfer, there are a dozen or more courses in the area including one only a few miles up the road from the house. If you don't have a boat there are a number of nearby marinas that offer boat rentals.
