Celebrate Palm Springs in classic mid-century style. Built in 1959, this Jack Meiselman house is a luxury salute to the heyday of Mid-Century style. Whether you’re enjoying a sunset martini next to the pool or relaxing inside the cool designer décor, Casa Racquel promises an elegant and authentic Palm Springs experience.
Conveniently located in the Racquet Club Estates neighborhood (one of the first Palm Springs mid-century modern neighborhoods and the former playground of the Rat Pack), the house features a separate casita for extra guests, fire pit, media room, large outdoor area with outdoor shower, and breathtaking mountain views.
Designed and decorated with an upscale eye, this home was built to entertain. The main house features two beautifully decorated bedrooms with private entrances and are conveniently situated at separate sides of the house - allowing for the utmost privacy for vacationing couples. The master bedroom has a King size bed, and the second bedroom features a Queen. The Casita Suite is a separate poolside cottage featuring a King sized master suite with wet bar.
Lounge inside or entertain poolside; there are two indoor/outdoor dining areas, a grill, and loungers for the pool. Surrender to the peace of the desert night or turn up the record player - the house is on a quiet and secluded street. Other popular features include a spacious living room, a media room featuring HBO & Showtime and a Blu-ray player, a generous private yard (Swimsuits optional), a washer/dryer, a vintage wet bar, and a fully-equipped modern kitchen that comes with a Nespresso machine – perfect for that morning sip of coffee while soaking up the fabulous mountain views.
Find yourself in a home that is the quintessential Palm Springs experience.
Palm Springs is so close yet so far away from it all. I can be in Paradise in about 90 minutes when I leave work for the weekend. And there's nothing like a quiet morning sipping coffee, dangling your feet in the pool and listening to the birds sing.
People in Palm Springs are happier because everyday is a sunny day and they want to be in Palm Springs.
It's easy to ride a bike and it has a small town feel. But it also boasts some of the best restaurants and nightlife as any big city. Plus a wonderful art museum and Joshua Tree National Park just a short drive away. It's a perfect get away.
Such a good deal! Loved staying here hoping to come back next year. Living room is great with a big tv. The beds are comfortable and neighbors didnt complain about our music :) and we were 5 min from the strip where alk the bars abd restaurants are.. we had a great time!!
The home is absolutely phenomenal. We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax, BBQ, entertain and stay for my 35th birthday weekend. My husband and I from Chicago, along with friends from LA and Arizona stayed the weekend in this timelessly modern oasis. The pool was super clean and warm (unheard of in January in PS), the hot tub was a phenomenal clean wind down in the evening. The casita was amazing as it was separate but still close by the action, right off the pool and great bathroom access from outside. We had 5 people total staying at the house, though with all of the sleeping options it could easily fit up to ten. The master had an amazing shower. The pictures don't do it justice! When looking for places it's often hard to ween out the bad apples but the owners quick communication and informative responses were superb. The sound system was great while relaxing at the pool. All in all this house is exactly what you would need to have an amazing weekend with friends, family, or even your significant other. Very private! And only about $5 uberx ride from any and all restaurants and bars.
This hous was just right for our family. It was very roomy and comfortable for as six of us. Both the tv room and the living room are spacious and have comfortable sofas. Everyone loved the heated pool and hot tub, especially since it turned unusually cold the week we were in Palm Springs. We all slept well--must have been the excellent mattresses and desert air. Since we were cooking for the holidays, it was good to have a well-equipped kitchen and Albertson's only about a mile away. Overall, a very comfortable, cool mid-century modern house.
What a beautiful spot for a getaway. It's a perfectly private and comfortable place with ample room for anything from complete solitude to family reunions. One thing I kept thinking: there is no reason for me to leave this compound. Whether it's swimming in the heated pool, lounging in the hot tub, working on a crossword puzzle at the outdoor dining table, cooking in the galley kitchen, watching tv in the media room... Everything I could need is right there. Plus, sleeping accommodations are great with comfortable beds and sheets.
Had such a great time celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and our anniversary! Overall it was so relaxing and quiet. PROS: Perfect space to have our friends come for a night and bring their dogs too! Plenty of privacy from the neighbors and from each other too if wanted ;) record collection was awesome, kitchen was wonderfully equipped, pool and Jacuzzi were a great size and loved the floats, fire pit was cozy, grill has a propane reader so there was no guessing how much was left, huge yard for the 2 dogs to run around (and plenty of poo bags ha), outdoor shower, master dual head shower was amazing, nespresso machine was delicious (1st time trying it!), humming birds outside were gorgeous, downtown was a quick (and cheap-$5) uber drive away, we ended up going to Agua Caliente Casino one night which was a pretty cheap uber drive away as well, Albertsons is not a crazy long walk or quick drive down the street
CONS: I could not find an outlet outside (to charge wireless speaker/phones), would have loved to have a couple of fans to circulate the air under the patio and at night time to stay a little cooler rather than lowering the AC temp, although I love real wood fire pits they take a bit longer to get going- a gas pit would be great, really like the privacy of where the Jacuzzi was located but would also have liked if it was a bit closer to the pool
Amazing rental! Was perfect for our family vacation. Great outdoor space and very spacious indoors as well. Well-kept property-clean and beautiful. Owner was very accommodating and replied in a timely matter to any questions I had. Highly recommend this rental.
We absolutely loved this house. Very convenient, quiet, and relaxing. The separate casita is such a bonus. The yard and pool are well maintained. We especially appreciated the privacy this home offers its guest. Kitchen is well stocked. Showing our kids how to actually play old records was fun! Great selection of movies and music!!! We found Ann to be very easy to work with, always friendly and very quick to respond to our emails. Highly recommend!!!
