We had an amazing stay in this lovely mountain cabin. The property was secluded and relaxing. The furnishings in the house were comfortable and well maintained. The area around Clayton offered many activities and excursions to explore. We hiked 3 water falls, went white water rafting, went trout fishing, and spent a day exploring downtown Clayton- the milkshake at the Clayton Pharmacy was awesome. Mostly we just relaxed and enjoyed being together without the distractions of the outside world. My son said it was the best birthday ever- he is 13!
We enjoyed our weekend in this beautiful cabin. Very clean and had everything we needed. Enjoyed sitting by the fire visiting with family. Great weekend getaway location. Thank you for sharing your home.
The cabin was great and it is hidden in the beautiful mountains.
We greatly enjoyed our week in the woods. We felt so secluded from modern civilization. No TV, just our cell phone and the internet. The location was in the center of many opportunities to experience native Georgia. We enjoyed the cool breezes on this mountain top. The kitchen was well equipped for a family. We would be glad to return to this house.
Our family of 7 enjoyed our 3 night stay. This cabin was beautiful, clean and had all the amenities needed to make the cabin our own. The food store is only about 15 minutes from the cabin. Roads are a bit narrow, but we never had a problem with other traffic.
My husband and I, along with two of our daughters went for a weekend get away. What a beautiful place! Far enough off the beaten path, but close enough to run into town for groceries and movies. We really enjoyed the escape from technology, and spent time working on puzzles, reading and watching movies. We love to cook and found everything we needed in the kitchen. Our dogs loved the big porch! We took a day trip into Franklin, NC and visited Rose Creek Mine for some gem mining. Great fun!
Five minutes from a public Lake Burton boat ramp. One mile from some of Georgia's best fly fishing along the Tallulah and Coleman Rivers. Hike into the Chattoochee National forest off the porch. Appalachain Trail is fifteen minutes to the West, and the Bartram Trail is fifteen minutes to the east. Shops of downtown Clayton feature a folk art gallery and an excellent bookstore and nearby wine shop. Find The Farmhouse at Persimmon Creek less than five miles away.
