One double bedroom and one twin bedded room (which can be made into a Super King sized bed) with a bathroom on first floor, one double bedroom with an ensuite shower room on second floor, a fully fitted modern kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine, very comfortable lounge with Sky+ and fast internet access and phone connection within the privacy of a small office if required. With a newly modernised conservatory from which to enjoy the garden and the sun, this property is ideal for any St. Andrews visitor.

This Listed cottage is situated on one of the most charming, quiet streets of St. Andrews with the Cathedral at one end and the Old Course - all a 10 minute walk away. Enjoy being at the centre of everything with the only rush hour as students move from lecture to lecture! Ideally located opposite the University’s famous St. Salvator’s Chapel (see video) and Quadrangle, you really can’t ask for more.........nearly forgot, the beach is only a ten minute walk away, and Sainsbury's 2 minutes up the cobbled walkway!

The cottage also has a beautiful garden with patio area, ideal for outdoor summer living. There is a garden store which can house golf clubs, wood for the fire or outdoor furniture. The clothes drier can be found here also.

For further information turn right and walk up the cobbled walk way to Market Street and you will see the Visit Scotland Information Shop. Supermarkets, friendly pubs,exquisite shopping, coffee shops and top class restaurants are all at your finger tips. ENJOY!

I live in Australia, but was born in Scotland. Both my brother and mother live in St Andrews and so it makes sense to own some property in the area.

We bought this property because we love the town of St Andrews - it holds a special place for us, as we were married here, and enjoyed our wedding reception at the Old Course Golf and Country Club. We also have a lot of family living in this area.

What makes this cottage unique

I love our cottage because it is just so cosy and so completely central to everything you could want from the town of St Andrews. It's age gives it history, and stories yet to unfold!

Cosy base in a great location

The cottage was lovely - it had everything we needed for a short break in January, most importantly good central heating! Equipped to a high standard and in a fantastic central location we never had to go far for our next coffee, lunch, dinner or glass of wine. Would strongly recommend.

Beautiful cottage in perfect location

There is really no better location to stay in St Andrews than this (and as ex-St Andrews students - we should know). It is bang in the centre and the perfect location to see everything.

The cottage itself is beautiful - cosy and clean. There is plenty of room for 6 people and the fireplace was a real treat.

The owner was very helpful and responsive. I would happily recommend this property (and the Indian restaurant around the corner - Maisha!)

A perfect location....

How perfect a setting 84 North Street was as our base for our younger son's Wedding at St Salvator's Chapel and Reception at Upper and Lower College Halls.

If anything, we all felt that the 'cottage', which was much bigger overall than we had anticipated, had been undersold.

Apart from an unfortunate problem with a toilet syphon, to which

the owner responded so rapidly, we couldn't fault a thing.

Fabulous holiday

Beautiful house in perfect location with plenty of room for all six of us - none of us wanted to leave in the end! A huge thank you to the owner, Ailsa, for dealing with special request and having put a lot of thought into the little extras provided in the house that gave it that wee bit of added "luxury". All being well, will definitely be back next year.

The charming medieval town of St. Andrews has much to offer its visitors. It is the home of golf as well as the oldest University in Scotland. It has a fascinating history, beautiful beaches and walks and excellent restaurants. It really is an idyllic location for enthusiastic golfers or a base to explore the east coast of Scotland.

St Andrews is a town meant for exploring.
