Casa Irene is located near the historical center of the hamlet of Perledo and from its hilly position it dominates the town of Varenna and the Lake Como.

The apartment is on the first floor of a quiet little house of two floors with independent entrance. The apartment is sunny all day and enjoys sweeping views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The apartment can accommodate up to 5 people. It consists of a large lobby, a bright and spacious living room, kitchen, large bedroom (with double bed and a bunk bed), bathroom with tub-shower and a terrace.

Casa Irene has been recently renovated and equipped in each room with new modern furnishings. It's equipped with washing machine, microwave, hair dryer, iron and sat. TV. It has heating that provides great comfort in winter period. Directly connected to the apartment there is a garden where you can relax, sunbathe and eat outside and to enjoy a beautiful view.

Perledo is a small hamlet perched on the hill above Varenna. The center is dominated by the magnificent Church of St. Martino (XVII cent.) with its imposing facade. Amazing and breathtaking view it offers is the church square, a terrace overlooking the lake in its unique beauty. The historic center is characterized by stone houses next to each other and crossed by narrow pedestrian streets that offer charming views. The landscape is enhanced by the presence of the Castle of Vezio that with its gray stone emerges from the bright green of the hill on which it stands and that suggests the ancient times of kings and queens. In any direction you can see mountain ranges covered with lush green in summer and with snow in winter that are the backdrop for romantic sunsets. Nature dominates the entire landscape. Perledo offers tourists, with small movements, many amenities (arts, sports, culture and gastronomy) that ensure a pleasant stay.

Casa Irene was exactly as described clean and tidy with balcony for enjoying the views; Giorgio was very helpful and speaks good English. There was lots of info available before you visit helping you to plan your stay. We enjoyed our stay at the end of April the location being ideal for catching the ferry from Varenna to locations around the lake both gardens and villas. The use of the blue parking permit was really useful allowing you to park at station car park free during the week without having to feed a meter. Views from balcony were excellent helped by good weather for nearly all our stay. Would recommend Casa Irene as a good base for Lake Como area and good for walking breaks. You can also catch train from local station to lots of locations we didn't use the option this time but the train service in Italy we have used before we arrived were all excellent.

Couldn't have asked for more from the apartment - clean, nicely presented and with great views. We were unluckly with the weather, it rained most of the stay!

Giorgio is very helpful and welcoming - speaks very good english too.

We aim to return in the spring and hope for better weather.

Casa Irene is a cosy apartment, with a breathtaking view of Lake Como, a medieval castle and with tall mountains as a majestic background. The site is ideal for couples and families who seek peace and quiet. Giorgio is a very helpful and polite and seems to be willing to do anything within his power to make sure you enjoy your stay. We had a nice couple of days in Casa Irene and I can warmly recommend it.
