Built in the early 1960's this quintessential, cozy Cabin is Tahoe Charm at it's best, all Knotty Pine interior, tongue in groove, walls, ceiling in a natural finish and hand hewed ceiling beams. Quilt and handmade throws add to the ambiance. Living Room & Dining area anchored by a free standing gas log fireplace and 2 sofabeds. Although small the Kitchen is very workable, Gas Range, Dishwasher, Microwave, Refrigerator and Garbage Disposal, also very well equipped with kitchen essentials. There is one Bathroom downstairs, shower-tub arrangement with 'Indoor Plumbing'. Stairs leading to upstairs Bedrooms are steep, there were no building codes requiring ADA stair spacing in the 60's for Tahoe. The large Master Bedroom has a King size bed, covered with a Handmade Quilt and second bedroom 'Dorm Room' has a Queen bed and two Singles. About Patty Derobertis
We purchased the 'Cabin' which was built by Grandparents who decided to travel the world rather than retire to Tahoe, we wanted to keep it to the family. Our children grew up visiting Tahoe often and we celebrated many fun times and with the Grandchildren as well. We have renters who have been coming back for 25 years and now their children's children are visiting.
Patty Derobertis purchased this cabin in 1978
Why Patty Derobertis chose Tahoe Valley
Location is perfect, large lot, house is somewhat secluded from busy street. Close to restaurants, grocery store, hiking & biking trails.
What makes this cabin unique
Quiet surroundings and a feeling of seclusion, lots of Bluejays and Squirrels, an occasional Chipmunk during summer months. A great feeling of vacation, whether on the deck reading a Novel or coming in from the slopes, yet close to the action if you chose.
