Luxurious villa - all confort- from 4 to 10 personns

« Les Maisons d’Antan » (i.e. the houses of days gone) , classificated five stars by the tourism Ministry, consist of two dwellings dating back to the 18th century. They were built in traditional stones and slates of the region and Isabelle Hossein totally renovated and refurbished them. She enhanced the feeling of intimacy and privacy that emanates from the place and gave a new touch to the different rooms though respecting the regional spirit that is present in a monumental fireplace for instance. At the same time, a regional renowned landscape gardener designed the gardens.The property is near the capital of prehistory, les Eyzies de Tayac, whitch is listed by Unesco World Heritage of Humanity. Here was born the science of prehistory, thanks to excavations that started in 1863 and last until today. The cave paintings of Lascaux, a unique presentation of prehistoric art, displays Cro Magnon's life as hunter and artist, as warrior and painter, an inestimable insig

we would most definitely recommend staying at Maison d'Antan to our friends. The house and the surrounding towns and villages are beautiful. The region has many interesting places to visit and things to do. The markets in St. Genies and Sarlat were wonderful. It made us feel part of the town rather than just passing through.

Our stay at Maison d'Antan was fabulous. The setting is private and lovely and the house fully equipped making us feel as though we were in our own home....We had a fantastic two weeks with family from 10 years to 49! We really did not need to go anywhere as it was comfortable at Les Maisons d’Antan.

  • During the low season, we can rent only the house called 'the bergerie' for 4 personns
    2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms the price is 1600 € / week more 150 € all charges inclued
    and we can propose stay for 3 days or + , contact us

    The wood for the chimney is not inclued
  • more the rental rate, all charges inclued are 150 € between 2 et 5 people and 250 € between 6 to 10.

    A deposit 1 500 €, it will be restitue next week
    arrival saturday at 5 o'clock in the afternoon
    départure saturday at 10 o'clock in the morning
  • For booking, a deposit, 30% of the price, is necessary, and 60 days before the arrival, the balance must be payed.

We had 7 young adults staying with us for a number of days and the separate house for them was great. They had their own space as did my husband and I. Once the weather warmed it was great to have the pool, the lounge chairs, the outdoor table and chairs and barbeque. The comfortable house, the local village with its market, the boulangerie on the way into Sarlat, the restaurant at Le Chateau, the stunning countryside, the countless places to visit - all contributed to making this one of the best vacations we've had.

Fantastic two weeks with family from 10 y to 49 y

Great location in the Dordogne and for local patisserie, tennis and boulangerie, beautiful house, super bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. The garden and pool were super. Also we had a wet day and the kitchen was great to use for an indoor meal and the sitting room really comfortable.
