A nearly private beach out front gives you access to the water without the people since steps to the bridge and no ped xing across the bridge force many walkers and would be beach goers to search elsewhere. Take your kids/grandkids down to the corner of the Grand Canal and go crab hunting on the shore and in the rocks...it's an island tradition.
Steps from the water... slow down and breathe...your on island time here! Our favorite Family Vacation spot, best house on the island!! We have been traveling to the island for 9 years and this is the best place we have rented by far. Owners are very friendly and spare no expense to make sure you enjoy your stay.
We had a great stay at this clean and bright house, the location on the water with views of the boats is amazing. The house has plenty of rooms and everyone had their space to relax, the kitchen is well equipped and the alfresco dining is delightful. The walking distance to the main street is very handy, the shops and restaurants are well worth a visit. We had a great time and would recommend staying at this house, we will be returning for sure.
Main Street meets the beach! This property has it all! It's the perfect place to pull up a beach chair and umbrella, take out the paddle boards, or read a book. Launch a quick bike trip across the Ferry to Balboa Peninsula or enjoy a shake at the famous Galley Cafe on Harbor Island.
*Take a stroll around Balboa Island/Little Balboa Island on the sidewalk and take in the beauty of the Pavilion or jump on the Catalina Express for a day trip to Catalina.
*Local restaurants, including world famous Dad's Donuts where you can try their frozen Balboa Bar and Frozen Banana treats are just steps away or pick up a little bit of Balboa Island at Shirley' s Heart to bring back home...it's steps out the back door of the house.
*Access on and off the island a breeze so you can beat your guests to the beach. Additional off-site parking a short walk across the bridge gives guests a free and easy place to park and visit. Full grocery store and pharmacy walking distance across the bridge to enjoy a BBQ on the patio and enjoy the sunset.
For serious shoppers, outdoor shopping is a stones throw away at Fashion Island or take it to the next level and head to South Coast Plaza.
*For the artists, take a short trip south to Laguna Beach and walk the artists galleries and restaurants along Main Beach.
