1 studio apartment , 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 2

Rosies Place is a completely renovated studio apartment with a luxurious look and feel, especially designed for people who want to have a nice holiday break in Amsterdam.

Rosies Place is situated right in the city center of Amsterdam, within the so-called canal ring. Our house is tucked away in a small quite street of the Jordaan. Around the corner you will find restaurants, bars, shops, galleries, markets and lot’s more. Also the museums are close by. Even closer is the Anne Frank House.

Rosies Place is on the first floor of our house, accessible by a steep staircase. It’s more than suitable for 2/3 adults or 2 adults with 2 small children. It has a king size bed and a sofa which we can convert into a single bed or double bed. You have a dining bar, which sit 2/3 adults and a design rocking chair. Candles for a romantic touch are everywhere in Rosies Place.

The kitchen is fully equipped, beside the dishwasher (really important), two induction hobs, fridge, microwave, you will find coffee, tea, milk, sugar, oil and herbs. If you want we can provide breakfast at any time in the morning. Just let us know.

The bathroom has a big rain and hand shower. Towels, soap and shampoo (from Rituals) are provided for you. If you need clean towels just drop them outside in the washing bin and you will have clean ones immediately.

The terrace has SUN ! What else can we say. Sun in the morning for your coffee, sun during your lunch, sun in the afternoon drinking your beer or wine. But he it’s Holland so keep your fingers crossed that the sun will shine :-)

On arrival you will find in Rosies Place :

A nice bottle of white wine (or red if you prefer)

Coffee from Nespresso

Tea from Mr. Jones

Dutch candy (drop) and cookies

Plus a citymap of Amsterdam.

Hi, We are Astrid (43) and Rick (42), we have two sons, Joris (11) and Jesse (4). Rick is born and raised in Amsterdam and I moved 25 years ago to Amsterdam. Before we settled down we have travelled the world and stayed also at other people houses. We like to think that by staying with locals you’ll see a different city. Of course we will help you to explore the city and if we have the time we will show you around. If the weather permits, and if our schedule allows it we can go for a boot trip or have a drink at our rooftop.

Astrid and Rick purchased this studio in 2001

It was our dream that one day a small piece of Amsterdam would be ours. Once back in Amsterdam we decided to chase our dream. 13 years ago we bought our town house, which was build in 1897 and stood the test of time really well.

Located in the best part of Amsterdam, called the Jordaan. Our street is really quiet but around the corner you will see the most picturesque street with all little restaurants, bars and shops with in the background the Wester Church. For us one of the reasons to buy the house.

Best Apartment We've Ever Stayed In

Best Apartment We've Ever Stayed In
  • 5 of 5
In our travels, my husband and I have stayed in many apartments, but none as nice as Rosie's Place.

Astrid and Rick, the owners, live on the ground floor and the top two. Rosie's Place is the floor above the ground floor. Comfortable and modern, the self-contained apartment comes with lots of extras: everything from plush towels to fresh coffee. It is a pleasure to sit on the couch and read, listen to the bells from the nearby church, or sip wine on the balcony. The Jordaan is wonderful, safe area--quiet but with restaurants and shops nearby.

What distinguishes Rosie's is what the owners provide: advice and assistance, going well beyond what is expected. Because Rick and Astrid (and their sons) are on site, guests live among the locals. They welcome visitors like friends. If you are looking for an impersonal dwelling, where an agency takes your money and offers no support, Rosie's is not for you. If, on the other hand, you like the idea of sharing a historic house with a lovely family who will help you with your plans if needed, look no further. In fact, email Astrid now. Don't delay. Once the word gets out, demands to stay at Rosie's will soar.

Best Place to Stay in Amsterdam

  • 5 of 5
This was by far the best place I've stayed in Europe. My mom and I vacationed in Amsterdam for 5 days and stayed at Rosie's Place. Astrid (the owner) was beyond helpful- answering all our questions about local transportation and sights in the area. The apartment is in a very quiet neighborhood but also close to many restaurants, shops and bakeries- we were never bored. The place was very clean and had many amenities such as wine, tea and cookies when we arrived, radio, Wi-Fi and TV. The sun came out one evening so we were even able to enjoy the balcony. Great place to stay and both my mom and I highly recommend it!

Beautiful apt - Great location

  • 5 of 5
Ditto to all the great reviews already written. Everything about this place is perfect for two people. The owners are awesome and have done a beautiful remodel on the unit. The kitchen was stocked with all kinds of goodies, and we cooked dinner in several nights. The quality of the bedding and linens is amazing, as is the incredible shower! The private patio was the perfect place for morning coffee and afternoon wine. Good location. I'd definitely come back here.

Fabulous Apartment in the heart of it!

  • 5 of 5
Rosie's Place is a fabulous apartment within easy walking distance of the centre of Amsterdam, but was also very quiet and peaceful, so a good nights sleep was possible to recharge the batteries for more sightseeing the following day.
The apartment was in immaculate condition, very clean and tidy - it truely does look just like the photos. The owners were fabulous hosts, very welcoming, helpful and informative.
I would definitely recommend this accomodation and will definitely be looking at its availability when I return to Amsterdam.

Perfect apartment, perfect location

  • 5 of 5
After very tight quarters aboard a week-long river cruise, we were very happy to move in to Rosie's Place--a beautifully decorated, bright, spotlessly clean and comfortable apartment. Plush towels, great shower, comfy bedding and very well appointed kitchen made our stay very enjoyable. The neighborhood is a quiet, residential area but within a few short blocks of many very good restaurants and shops. The Anne Frank house and Westerkirk area also a few blocks away (I loved listening to the church bells), and in fact we walked everywhere--to the museum district, flower market, the train station--never used public transportation until we left. A tram stop is two blocks away.
As with all Amsterdam houses, the flight of steps up to the apartment is steep with short steps--can be difficult with large, heavy luggage. We are in mid 60's and had no problem.
Astrid and Rick were easy to contact, answered all our questions, are most helpful and friendly, and met us promptly when we arrived. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Amsterdam!
