Wonderful Little cottage

  • 5 of 5
We were delighted to have found such a charming, comfortable and impeccably clean home base for our hiking vacation. We have stayed in a number of rental homes over the years, as we prefer them to hotels. This is one of the nicest properties we have stayed at in our travels. The decor is colorful and clever, the kitchen well-stocked, quiet bedroom. Great location, near Safeway and the walkway at the end of the street brings you down from the mesa to the Country Aire Market and the downtown/waterfront area. We walked down to Black Ball Line and took ferry to Victoria. Butchart Gardens all day, high tea there was worth the high price! Spectacular gardens. Hiked Hurricane Hill (go to very top and stand on cement marker - 5757 feet!). Timed the tide and walked Dungeness Spit all the way to lighthouse. Olympic rain forest just breathtaking. Nifty hike at Cape Flattery out to northernmost point in US! We enjoyed the Crab Fest in Port Angeles in spite of rain. Michael's for excellent fresh seafood. Port Townsend for charming shops and art galleries. There are many sights to see in this area, and the cottage is perfect as a place to touch down after a long day of adventures. A memorable sojourn.

Clean, Comfortable Cute!

  • 4 of 5
The home was clean and kitchen very serviceable. The living room was even great for late night movie viewing. The back patio is private and front porch is cozy. There were fresh ripe tomatoes and cucumbers in the garden and we were invited to pick them. The shower head could be angled a bit instead of showering in straight perpendicular lines. Other than that, it was a lovely home and a good base for anything you want to do in the northern end of the park. Crescent Lake is not to be missed as well as Hurricane Ridge. We went on a guided full moon hike there, which was the highlight of our trip! The only reason I am not recommending this for a family is that there is one bedroom and one bed. However, a child could certainly sleep on the couch or floor. You can certainly walk to the ferry bound for Victoria, and the downtown area.

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I stayed at the cottage for a week while we spent time in Olympic National Park. It was a perfect location. There was nothing negative to say about the cottage or the location. Because we spent most of the our time in the park, we did not spend a lot of time in Port Angeles but what we saw we liked. It was a great location for everything you could possibly want or need.

Nice eclectic lodging

We had fun here. Home was very clean and was actually better than described on VRBO. Virginia was very attentive. You can easily walk to some very nice downtown restaurants from the lodging.

I must agree with you how centrally located the cottage is.
What a pleasure it was meeting both of you.
I'm looking forward to some changes the owner has planned for the cottage. Once the changes are completed we'll change the wording and add more pictures.
Thank you for sharing the cottage is better then what is described. I'm very proud to be the manager of Oak Street Cottage.

Adorable cottage

  • 5 of 5
We spent 3 nights at the cottage and it is so cute and convenient for sure. Upon traveling all around and seeing the Olympic area, it was so nice to come back and relax and it is so homey and everything is right there for you. Would definitely stay again.
