Near Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi
Villa Marika is an authentic Italian two-storey villa, in a delightful location just a short distance from the town of Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi. Perched on a hillside, the villa has simply enchanting sea and countryside views; of the Islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida, and across the bay to Naples.
Villa Marika is located in privacy at the end of a narrow rural road (3m wide). You will need a car for your stay; just let us know if you require any assistance with car hire. There is a reserved parking area just inside the gate that encloses the property, with fifteen steps leading down to the garden.
The lush, well-tended garden and curvaceous swimming pool are without doubt the jewels in the crown of Villa Marika. Measuring 3m by 7m, and 1.5m deep, the pool is surrounded by paving and is open from the beginning of May till the end of September. From here, the sparkling blue of the sea meets the blue of the sky and stretches out towards the horizon.
The garden enjoys sunshine all day long. Above the pool, a sloped walkway leads to a patio area with dramatic views, with an outdoor shower, chairs, deckchairs, sun loungers and parasol, plus toys for children. There is also a convenient outdoor washroom, with a shower, wash basin and toilet.
Moving towards the villa, you reach a large veranda, shaded by a tiled canopy. Here there is a dining table for eight, plus a small outdoor kitchen, with a wood-burning oven, barbeque and sink. Why not have a pizza party using the wonderful, fresh local produce?
The living areas of the villa are on the upper floor, accessible from the parking area. The sleeping quarters are downstairs, with access to the terrace and garden.
The sitting room is welcoming, with a double sofa bed, armchair and dresser. There is a tiled floor and lovely beamed ceiling, plus a television and an internet Wifi connection. A washroom is accessed from the sitting room, with toilet, bidet and sink.
Moving into the bright and spacious kitchen, you will find a dining table for six, plus everything you could possibly need to self-cater during your stay. With traditional wooden cabinets, the kitchen has beautiful tiled splash backs. There is a four ring gas hob, oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and Italian coffee maker. The kitchen leads onto the terrace, where you can enjoy views of the sea and coastline; and also has access to a small patio behind the house.
A lovely staircase with a decorative banister takes you downstairs to the sleeping area. Here are two double bedrooms and one twin room, all with air conditioning and plenty of storage space. The double rooms both have French doors onto a patio and the twin room has a small, high window.
The two downstairs bathrooms have a shower, wash basin, toilet, bidet and hairdryer. One bathroom has a washing machine, should you need to catch up on laundry, with an ironing board and iron also available.
Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi is just 2km from Villa Marika. As the name suggests, Sant’Agata sui due Golfi, or ‘St Agatha on the two Gulfs’ has spectacular views of the Bay of Naples on one side, and the Gulf of Salerno on the other. Here you will find several family-run restaurants, gelaterias, fresh pasta shops, fruit and vegetable stores, mini-markets, bakeries, butchers and fishmongers, coffee bars and pubs. There are also many nearby walking trails to appreciate the beauty of the natural environment, ranging from gentle walks to more strenuous hikes.
Villa Marika really is a delightful choice for a relaxing holiday. Enjoy time soaking up the sun on a lounger, floating in the pool, or eating freshly cooked wood-fired pizza on your veranda. Venture out to explore the beautiful countryside, or join the locals at a nearby trattoria. A stay at Villa Marika really will give you a wonderful break from day to day life!
Please note, there will be a final cleaning charge of € 150 added to the rental period at time of the booking.

The tourist tax must be added to the total amount of stay and has to be pay cash at the arrival.
"A nice villa if you are looking for a peaceful holiday by the pool with occasional trips out and spectacular views. The (quite) nearby Sorrento and Amalfi coast are excellent, and the village of Sant'Agata is a nice place for a quiet evening stroll with some pretty good restaurants. The only real drawback is the need for a car coupled with the traumas of driving in this part of Italy (manic drivers, rubbish directions, narrow winding roads and nowhere to park) and of negotiating the extremely narrow road/dirt tracks between the village and the property. This made just getting to the village a slow and slightly traumatic exercise (praying nothing was coming the other way) and had we hired our usual people carrier I dont think we would have managed it. Be warned, these roads are made for brave people with small cars. But it was still a great holiday!" Value: Fair , Met expectations: Yes - satisfied , Recommend: Yes , Overall: Good
What a suburb location

The house was lovely and clean but would benefit from some new cooking pots and cutlery
The property managers were more than helpfull and assisted us in our every request
