This house was originally built in 1918. It is easy walking distance to the beach and features great views of the bay and open ocean. The house was fully remodeled in 2003. There are six bedrooms and four bathrooms, a large dining room with a table that easily seats 12, a full, well stocked kitchen, a large living room, sun porch, bonus room, Ratskellar, and laundry room. The yard includes a Catalina tile fountain, large redwood bench for sun-bathing and family gatherings, propane barbecue, two tables for outdoor dining and beautiful landscaping including lovely plumerias and succulents.
Upstairs there are four bedrooms. There is a suite with one bedroom with a king size bed, a full bathroom including tub with a shower and a bedroom with twin trundle beds (the beds can be converted to a king size bed). The other two bedrooms upstairs each feature a queen size bed and have a private powder room, with a sink and toilet. The kitchen, living room, dinining room and sun porch are also upstairs. There is an additional shower off the kitchen, just inside the back door of the house for easy access after a trip to the beach.
Downstairs there are two bedrooms each with a queen size bed. The bonus room with a mounted sword fish, television and an all house stereo system, the Ratskeller (German for a bar or restaurant located in a basement - this is yet another magnificent evening gathering spot), a bathroom with a shower, and the laundry room are also downstairs.
This house is a family home that is currently owned by four sibblings that were raised on Catalina island.

This home was passed to the current owners by their parents. The owners, their children and their grandchildren all cherish the house and enjoy frequent visits to this wonderful family treasure.
The large well appointed yard and the family gathering areas such as the sun porch, living room, dining room, bonus room and Raskeller make this a very unique vacation home. There are very few homes on the island that feature even a small yard, let alone a large yard with a view of the bay. The front corner of the yard offers a birdseye view of the bay and is a perfect place to enjoy morning coffee or tea and evening cocktails and appetizers.
Avalon has old world charm as well as many recreational activities for the entire family. The golf course was the first west of the Mississippi and it in a lovely canyon. There is a very fun, rustic, beautifully landscaped minature golf course.

|Notes||The $1,000 damage deposit is due upon booking. Any refund amount will be sent back within two weeks of departure. The rental fee must be received 10 days before arrival. The 12% room tax and the cleaning fee are included in the $3,500 per week rental fee.|
