About Jill

I'm the luckiest person to live and work here and am never going to get to the bottom of the list of things we want to do here. There's another pond to go in, more flagstone and all you lovely guests to meet from all over the world.

When we opened to guests four years ago I had no idea that it would be so enjoyable, it's a pleasure to be here and I hope it is for you.

Jill purchased this barn in 1988

Why Jill chose Cranbrook

We loved this area of England and spent 2 years looking for suitable land to buy, then spent ten years trying for planning permission and finally got it. We wanted to build in the true style of Kent and we hope you will approve of the results

What makes this barn unique

Our farm stands within a truly delightful 43 acres of beautiful quiet contryside with georgous view. We have two lakes of 12 acres to stroll around and over the last ten years we have planted 12,000 native broadleaf trees with walk ways through.

This all creates the perfect place to just chill out or explore the delights of south east England

Guestbook comments from the owner

Ein perfekter Aufenthalt

  • 5 of 5

Danke Jill!!!

Ultra Comfort

  • 5 of 5

From the moment of our arrival Waters End Farm worked its magic and we all relaxed. We had a warm welcome from Jill and a log fire and perfect home made cake was waiting in the exceptionally well equipped kitchen. Generous bedrooms with underfloor heating, crisp linen and huge vi sprung beds, roll top baths and powerful showers for each bedroom bliss! Walks from the door and an an excellent dining pub twenty minutes walk up the lane. Our previous visit was in summer when an outstanding breakfast is provided. Waters End Farm is sublime.

We were welcomed to Hop Pickers Cottage by Jill to find it presented immaculately. Luxury beds and fittings make for an incredibly comfortable stay.

We found plenty to do in the surrounding area. Would love to return. Highly recommended!

Beautiful break away

  • 5 of 5

The barn conversion is absolutely beautiful and set in pretty grounds. We stayed for a short break away and had a wonderful time. The beds are so comfortable and there is no noise apart from the birds and wildlife. It was great to wake in the morning and look out to lakes and fields. It really is five star accommodation. Jill and Maurice are friendly and welcoming. The local area has much to see and do and there is a pub within walking distance which also has freshly cooked food and a lovely atmosphere. We would not hesitate to return and hope to visit again in the spring/summer and to swim in the lake! Excellent restaurants within a short drive away.

Had a wonderfully relaxing week in Waters End. The oak barn is beautiful, comfortable, clean and warm and with excellent facilities. It is set in lovely countryside, perfect for walking, and within easy reach of many interesting places, gardens etc. Would definitely recommend it for couples, families etc. Our hosts were very helpful and supplied us with a lovely loaf and cake on our arrival which was very unexpected but much appreciated.
