Our family did a lot of research before selecting to stay at this flat. We were fairly confident we would enjoy staying here, but there were a number of times throughout our 10 or so days here that we said, "this is even better than we thought."
Honestly, the location is amazing…very close to (under 5 minute walk) Waitrose grocery store, Boots pharmacy, a number of parks, bus stops that get you almost anywhere in London, the Tube and wonderful restaurants (we tried Salaam Namaste, Ciao Bella, Giraffe, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Yo! Sushi and loved them all!).
But even as important as location is, the flat itself was just great--modern, clean, and enough room for us to enjoy living as Londoners. The kitchen is small, but what would you expect in central London? It is well equipped--and the appliances all worked very well.
The updated bathroom is chic and modern, and the heated towel rack was a nice ammenity.
The beds were roomy and comfortable. The flat was equipped with plenty of towels and linens.
When we needed to have a burnt out lightbulb replaced, the owner responded quickly and the issue was resolved.
I would recommend this flat to anyone--but especially if you have children, Coram's Fields across the street is a huge bonus!!!!
This review is months overdue, but wanted to say what a great vacation we had in this flat during our week-long stay in London over the holidays. The flat is exactly as pictured, clean and tidy with enough space for a family of 4 with two teen boys. There is a college across the street, it was empty over the holidays so we can't say how busy it gets when school is in session, but overall the neighborhood was safe and quiet, with a short walk to Russell Square tube station on the Picadilly Line which connected us to everywhere we wanted to visit in London. St. Pancras/Kings Cross station one stop away where we took a one-day train to Paris. Food, shopping, the British Museum and Theatre district within walking distance to the flat.
Working with Mike was easy via e-mail as he responded to every correspondence we sent in a timely and informative manner. Payment made via credit card, also easy.
Would not hesitate to stay here again.
This flat is exactly as pictured. Small, but bright and clean. It was comfortable and conveniently located. Good for children as the park is close by. The bathroom looked like it was recently remodeled and was small, but fresh and clean. We would stay here again.
We've spent a week in London, with two children and a baby. The flat is very comfortable and modern, with a nice view from the bedroom window. There are no baby facilities in the flat, but the double bed was huge enough for the three of us. Otherwise it had everything we needed. The location is excellent - close to many bus stations and the tube, near a lot of restaurants and shops and many places of interest like the British museum. Mike the owner was responsive and efficiently took care of a little problem we had. The only downside is the lift that didn't work on the last two days, but we knew not to count on it too much (it's really small).
I would definitely recommend this flat to my friends.
My mother and I stayed here for 6 nights during the Olympics. It was a great flat in a great location - maybe 5-7 minutes' walk from the Russell Square station.
Mike was excellent to work with - we stayed in another of his flats later in our trip and had a good experience there as well. He gave us a quick tour when we arrived so that we understood everything.
The photos are an accurate depiction of the flat. The beds were good, the shower was good - everything was good. (Do note that the flat is at the top of 3 flights of stairs - not a problem for us, but for someone with limited mobility, it could be a concern.)
I'd happily recommend the flat to my friends.
My family of 4 stayed in the flat for a week. The location was excellent: a pleasant neighborhood and a brief walk to the Russell Square underground (which is on the direct line to Heathrow) and to a grocery store and restaurants. The flat served us well in terms of size and amenities. Perhaps most important, the owner was responsive to questions so I felt secure with the booking and was not disappointed. All told, a very positive experience.
A quiet, bright and sunny apartment, centrally located close to Great Ormond Street Hospital, Grays Inn Road, Lambs Conduit Street and within walking distance of Russell Square and Chancery Lane Underground stations, Euston and Kings Cross/St. Pancras Mainline Stations, Eurostar, and The British Museum, The British Library, Covent Garden, Soho and Oxford Street. All the theatres, restaurants and shops of London’s famous West End are within easy reach.
