Beautifully remodeled Kona Alii with direct ocean view on Alii Drive. There is a sand beach on the opposite side of Alii Drive for dipping your toes in the ocean. Kona Alii is walking distance to many restaurants, shops, beaches, convenience stores, luaus, post office, groceries, banks and more. Lounge on the teak lanai furniture as the ocean breeze wafts past, or stroll downtown and browse the shops. This unit includes parking, basic cable TV, phone, wireless internet all in a secure entry building with elevator. Residents enjoy semi-private sundeck lounge on 7th floor roof. The pool has lounge chairs and BBQ grill. Secured entry allows only residents to enter the elevator, unit levels and pool.

What makes this condo unique

Some of the nicer points here are the recently refurbished pool and common areas. We've also extensively remodeled the interior of our unit. It's also very nice to have an elevator even though we're only on the second floor, it's very convenient. Having a washer/dryer in the unit is another nice convenience.

Amazing place to stay

The condo was clean, bed was very comfortable, no noise noted from anywhere outside the condo if windows and doors were clean. We arrived early in a rain storm and had no problem getting into the condo early. Any questions were answered quickly. We were extremely happy with the our stay. Locations was perfect. Watched the whales from the Lani. Dinner watching the sunset every night. Great security. Private assigned parking for our rental car. Having a dishwasher, washer and dryer in the condo was perfect. First time I came home with no laundry. Can't wait to come back.

Has its charm and challenges

It is located perfectly for walking in downtown Kona. Nicely remodeled kitchen and livingroom. The drains in both baths runs very slow to a near stop. The clothing dryer vents into the condo, it could use a good thorough cleaning and has no A/C so when the sliding glass doors are open the road noise is very, very loud. The bedroom windows open on to a walk way for the complex so you get loud talking in your bedroom all nite. But, if your on a budget and want the view of the bay and acces to Kona its a great deal! The manager was easy to work with when booking. Bed could use replacing, the wifi worked great and the beach chairs and towels were very helpful

Clean, comfortable, and great location!

Nicely decorated, updated condo close to everything. Lots of restaurants, etc in walking distance. Very secure building. Everything worked, lots of towels, etc. You can pack light because you have your own washer and dryer! Property manager kept in touch and was always available, but we didn't need to call him. There is traffic noise from the road, might bother a light sleeper, not a problem if you close the glass lanai doors and the bedroom door. No A/C, but temperatures were pleasant during our stay. Pool was a little cool - it's in the shade much of the day.

Would definitely stay there again if we go to Kailua-Kona

Comfy Ocean View

Very nice accommodations. No A/C so keep the doors to the lanai open. It did not get too stuffy at night. The bed is a little stiff. There is not much except two beach chairs to take to the beach. We had to purchase beach towels and a rolling cooler bag at Walmart. We would definitely stay there again. There was a problem with the WiFi connection but help arrived the same day to get it taken care of. Perfect location. Clean. Comfortable.

Couldn't really be any better...

The write up of this place doesn't do it justice. It is newly renovated to a very high standard, the location of the condo is superb for Kailua-Kona. I am still amazed at the cleanliness of the condo. All appliances were exceptionally clean (could be brand new mistaken), there is a good level of space for 2 - 4 persons, anything more than that then it would get crowded. There is no A/C which can be a little tough however we found keeping the patio doors open allowed for the sea breeze to cool slightly. I would highly recommend this condo, a very pleasant living experience.

Most everything is withing walking distance that you might need. There are many small shops along Alii Drive for souvenirs, dining and open air markets. The last Sunday of the month, downtown is blocked off and becomes a walking street fair with local artist vendors and island foods.
