I have been coming to Bowen all my life.My great grandfather, Jake Dorman pioneered here in the late 1800's. He bought acres of land in Dorman Bay
After retiring in 2007 I purchased the Evergreen Hall B&B in Deep Bay on Bowen and then later decided to add the Evergreen cottage on Taylor Rd for a vacation rental My children loved coming to the cottage and roaming the trails on our private acreage behind the .
cottage and swim at September Mourn beach just down the road. Bowen being so close to Vancouver and just a 20 minute ferry ride make this a very desirable and safe community to both live and visit
My father picked this location to build the cottage because of the views, easy to access all year, and the proximity to the village of Snug Cove and the marinas
The Evergreen cottage is a Lindal cedar home with high ceilings , beams and windows in the living room letting in light all year. The huge cedar decking with glass panels allow the views forever both from inside and out.
From the open kitchen while preparing a meal watching the ferries go by and the Cruise ships in the distance, the lights of Vancouver across the water, the deer grazing in the yard, the morning sunrise over the north shore mountains and the stars at night while sitting on the deck make this a very inviting and magical experience
