About Auggie and Ann

Auggie is well known throughout the NW architectural and interior design industry for his unique, custom interior Waterwalls as featured in Waterwalls.com. He has also enjoyed 20+ years as a singing guitar player in a local country/folk-rock band. Ann has been a Seattle-based Registered Nurse for many years, caring for her patients' she truly loves. Ann’s passion for singing and playing guitar keeps her excited about music and together they love to encourage others by providing guitars in each cabin.

Auggie and Ann purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Auggie and Ann chose Greenwater

My wife Ann and I seem to be drawn by the mountains snow capped peaks, spectacular rivers, wildlife, world class skiing, fishing as well as its many hiking & biking trails. In October of 2012 we found ourselves buying this property we named, “Two Cabins and a Caboose” and began turning it into a park-like setting that now offers local and world travelers experiences unlike any other region.

- Auggie & Ann (May, 2013)

What makes this cabin unique

This unique, fun-filled setting offers vacationers a great way to escape, meet new friends or rekindle family/friend ties while sharing stories around the bonfire pit or simply relaxing achy muscles in the jacuzzi. Imagine the benefits of two cabins with fully equipped kitchens and BBQ's! While the Turkey is roasting, pies and deserts are baking! Water from the tap! Mt. Rainer has the best drinking water than anywhere in the world and our water straight from the tap is delicious! No need for plastic water bottles.

Perfect place for a weekend away!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in the Chanterelle cabin for a weekend away and had an amazing time. The place has everything you would need and is cutely decorated. There are many things to do, we enjoyed hiking to Crystal Lakes (30 min drive), roasting smores and hot dogs over the fire pit, hanging out in the hot tub, walking over to the tavern and wapito willies, playing the games they had there and relaxing on the couches watching tv. We had no problems during our stay and are definitely planning on coming to stay again. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Cute weekend lodging

  • 4 of 5

Rather tight quarters for five of us but we made it work. Loved the location to Crystal. We were excited about the hot tub after a day if skiing but it would not go above 97. All in all a nice weekend

Weekend away with the guys.

  • 4 of 5

We rented the Chantrelle and the Caboose for our traditional guys' ski weekend. All told, there were 9 of us and it was tight but some came early or left early, so not too bad. I'd say 4 in the Chantrelle and 3 in the Caboose would have been more comfortable.

Both places were very tidy and in good repair. The Chantrelle was a bit more "modular home"-y than I expected but the Caboose was really cool and had a gorgeous (though tiny) bathroom and kitchen. Both places had huge TVs which worked out great for the big Seahawks game.

There was little snow at Crystal (a 20 minute drive) and lots of rain that weekend. We entertained ourselves with games, movies, the hot tub, and the Naches Tavern. Not much else going on in Greenwater in the winter. The Naches Tavern is a really friendly little roadhouse with better than average food and a good beer and liquor selection, pool tables, and a big fireplace. Great place to pass time on a rainy weekend with friends and a very short walk from the cabins.

Speaking of the hot tub, I'm not much of a jacuzzi guy, but this hot tub is amazing, with water spouts and lighting effects. We accidentally messed up the touch screen control panel and Auggie was out the next morning to fix it. I want this hot tub.

One thing to be aware is that the three cabins sit kind of close together. There were some people staying in the other cabin we didn't rent and we barely saw them but I could see this being an issue. Also, you're just off the main highway, but it was still fairly quiet.

Cute little cabin, great for a weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the Chantrelle Cabin for two nights for my fiance's birthday and it was very cozy and clean. I loved that it had a fully equipped kitchen (even the little things that we forgot to bring like salt/pepper and condiments). Nice Tv with lots of options for shows/movies and a DVD player. The hot tub was a definite bonus and had an awesome sound system. The cabin is fairly small but we had 4 people and it was still comfortable. There is the option of renting out the 4-person cabin next door as well if you have a larger group. The owner, Auggie, was extremely friendly and accessible if we needed anything. I definitely recommend this place for a weekend getaway!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. We are so pleased when we have met our guests needs, especially when they may have forgotten items that we have. Hope you can come back and enjoy a group outing some day, our caboose is going to be a quite spectacular, fun place to stay. Thanks again, Ann and Auggie.

  • 5 of 5

This place is really all that is advertised. We a had minor scheduling mistake on the part of the owner and the super quick response to solve our issue was simply amazing! Auggie is a great host and the cabins are ridiculously nice. We vacation through vrbo frequently and have never seen such quality rentals!

Cute Cozy Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful weekend we had. I had no problems with booking this cabin. The owners were quick to respond to my questions when called and e-mailed. I booked this for a weekend snowboarding get away, sadly the snow did not deliver this season. But the cabin amenities sure did! the hot tub was amazing. The decor of the cabin definitely had the "home away from home" feeling which was very warm and cozy. There were many things to keep us busy, we were close to trails for hiking, and very close to Crystal mountain resort. The owners were there a bit working on the caboose which was actually great they had a wonderful dog, Barney who was super sweet. We had a blast! We are excited to book this in the summer as well. I bet it would be great to book both cabins for a group getaway in the summer.

cheers!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. Summer is around the corner and the caboose should be ready by mid-July. Please let us know if you want to make the most out of this summer season by staying with us again and we will try hard to make it a special and affordable time. Thanks again, Ann and Auggie.
