Auggie and Ann purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Auggie and Ann chose Greenwater

My wife Ann and I seem to be drawn by the mountains snow capped peaks, spectacular rivers, wildlife, world class skiing, fishing as well as its many hiking & biking trails. In October of 2012 we found ourselves buying this property we named, “Two Cabins and a Caboose” and began turning it into a park-like setting that now offers local and world travelers experiences unlike any other region.

- Auggie & Ann (May, 2013)

What makes this cabin unique

This unique, fun-filled setting offers vacationers a great way to escape, meet new friends or rekindle family/friend ties while sharing stories around the bonfire pit or simply relaxing achy muscles in the jacuzzi. Imagine the benefits of two cabins with fully equipped kitchens and BBQ's! While the Turkey is roasting, pies and deserts are baking! Water from the tap! Mt. Rainer has the best drinking water from anywhere in the world and our water straight from the tap is delicious! No need for plastic water bottles.

Perfect mt/river cabin - amazing hot tub!

  • 5 of 5

Had an awesome time staying at the Huckleberry cabin in Greenwater! Four of us (and all of our ski gear) stayed here and was perfectly comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked along with the rest of the cabin with all amenities needed. Beds were comfy!

The hot tub was AWESOME! Has a great glass enclosure (especially nice when it's hailing outside). The tub is huge and very well designed. Has fun lights, "waterfall features", super powerful jets, and a great sound system. Most importantly it was very clean and well maintained. :)

The cabin has a great wrap-around deck and a bbq. Great for hanging out in nice weather.

Another huge perk was that the cabin was walking distance to the general store, tavern/restaurant, coffee shop/gear shop, etc. Once you're back from the mountain, you don't have to bother driving. Enjoy a beer at the tavern and walk home!

I would absolutely recommend this property! Great proximity to Crystal mountain as well. The owner was extremely helpful and prompt in communication before arriving (and our deposit was returned within a day or two after departure). :)

Thanks for the great stay, 2 Cabins & a Caboose! :)

ps - AND did I mention, this is a river/creek front property? Beautiful little river to walk along - maybe swim in the summer?! :)

Owner's Response: WOW! Thank you for your wonderful comments! We would love to see you back for another wonderful stay. And, I agree, the tavern/restaurant is so much fun when you just don't feel like driving. I think you will love the caboose too. It should be ready by mid-July!

A Happy Surprise!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Huckleberry Cabin was awesome! We have already recommended it to 3 families who live near the Seattle area. One couple we recommended it to was waiting around (killing time) at the Seattle/Tacoma airport! It's perfect for a family get-away!

Nice Cabins, Overly Casual Host & Surprise Company in the Hot Tub

  • 3 of 5

The location is wonderful - a reasonable drive to Rainier and easy walk to "town." We rented both cabins and were told the caboose would be unoccupied during our stay, giving us the full property, which is both convenient and private enough. The cabins are well stocked and it's great to have the porch! Beds were comfortable and it was an easy place to stay with kids.

However, during our weekend stay we were awoken by loud music blaring from the hot tub sound system one night and found out the next day that the owner and friends had been partying. Our host came and took out beach chairs literally out from under us for his friends' use while we were sitting by the river one day, We were in the Jacuzzi with our child while the owner and friends were drinking beer and laughing loudly on the porch of the caboose out front, and one night we discovered the caboose was occupied by lovers (non-paying friends of the host) hoping for a romantic getaway which couldn't happen with our children roasting marshmallows 3 feet away over the fire pit. So, aside from feeling like we were extra guests at somebody else's party, and paying a good bit of money for the privilege, the cabins themselves were great.

Owner's Response: In response to your review, I am so sorry you feel the way you do and would have liked a phone call regarding these disgruntled feelings back in August of last year when this was going on. This is a huge surprise to us because that was the weekend of our son’s birthday in which we were out of town that entire weekend! We have numerous friends and contacts within walking distance that would have within minutes, eliminated any such undesirable activities had you called! We have put everything including our hearts into this place and only want to please our guests to provide them with comfort and fun. We take great pride in professionalism and therefore, non paying guests have never stayed at our place nor have we ever stayed there while guests are there. Moreover, the small fire pit is more than 3 feet away from any building structure. I am just really sorry this could not have been dealt with on the spot! Thanks, Auggie & Ann

Caboose and The huckleberry.

  • 5 of 5

I initially rented out the caboose with my significant other it was clean, upgraded, the shower was awesome, unfortunately the heater wasnt working properly so we contacted the owner and stayed in the huckleberry, it was just as pleasant. I enjoyed the stay and will definately be coming back and recommend it to friends and family. The hot tub was fascinating.

Mountain escape

  • 5 of 5

I would suggest to any couples young and older or a solo like myself to enjoy this cabin. I do not think I I have been in a cleaner unit in my years of travel. After a day out doors, the shower, great tv, and cozy bed made for a great getaway...I hope to see you again this winter when I snowmobile.

2 Cabins and a Caboose was excellent

  • 5 of 5

I recently stayed in the Chanterelle cabin for a long ski weekend with my husband and our nephew, and had a wonderful time! The cabin was very clean and stocked with everything needed. The couches were very comfortable, the TV was huge, and the kitchen had all the dishes, utensils and cook ware that anyone would need. While my husband and nephew went snowboarding I stayed back and explored the area, it is very beautiful with a river just feet from the cabin and many places to hike near by. One of the best parts was the hot tub, great for post-skiing or just to relax. The hot tub features a sound system and light show, which was my husbands favorite part. There is a large fire pit that would be great in the summer and the river by the cabin looks great for swimming! We can't wait to go back, great experience all around, we got our deposit back right away and Auggie and Ann were so nice!
