Captiva Island Condo Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedroom, 2 Bath Condo Located On Along The Bay.

Our 2-bed/2-bath condo is located in a small, 8-unit building surrounded by beautiful landscaping and just steps from the bay. If you are looking to relax, this is the place. There is also an on-site property manager that can assist you if needed.

The master bedroom has all new furniture and linen, a queen size bed, plenty of drawer and closet space, a flat panel TV, and features a full bath en suite with double vanity and whirlpool tub with shower.

The generous second bedroom has two twin beds with new linen, dressers and closet space, and the second bath is located down the hall.

We’ve just installed new hardwood bamboo floors in the hall, living, kitchen and dining area, and re-painted the entire condo.

We have a fully equipped kitchen with new quartz countertops and everything you might need to prepare your meals, including all appliances, a toaster, coffee pot, tea pot, blender and hand mixer. Not to mention the gleaming quartz breakfast bar.

There’s even a dishwasher to help with the cleanup. Or if you’d rather eat out, it’s only a five-minute walk to Captiva Village where you can choose from six outstanding island restaurants.

The open living/dining area features floor to ceiling glass doors that open to a private lanai, overlooking the bay and flooding the condo with eastern light. The dining table seats four, and the living room has a comfy sofa, loveseat, large flat panel TV, DVD player, books and games.

Take a swim in the large, heated pool or sit on the pier and watch the birds dive for fish while the dolphins and manatees swim by. Or relax on the lanai, which is perfect for entertaining or sipping your coffee in the morning and watching the most serene sunrise you will ever see.

Just a five-minute walk to the beach, where you can spend the day in the sun or the evenings watching the sun set over the Gulf.

About Jim Restivo

We are from the Chicago area and have recently retired. Captiva has always been a special place for us. We vacationed there for the first time 25 years ago and have revisited many times since. We have fond memories of our times on the beach with our children building sand castles and shelling. It was only natural to purchase a place here when we were able to spend more time away from the busy city and cold weather.

Jim Restivo purchased this condo in 2012

Why Jim Restivo chose Captiva Island

After renting different homes and staying in the resort over the years we chose Captiva Hide-A-Way over everywhere else for it exceptional view of the Bay, it's beautifully landscaped grounds and the feeling of privacy it has. Being in a relatively small building (8 units) it always feels like your in a private home.

Beautiful Setting

  • 5 of 5
My family and I loved our stay here. The condo was clean and comfortable. The condo complex was immaculate. Ron, the manager, does a great job of overseeing the grounds. The complex has a private setting and the view of the bay is stunning. We enjoyed hanging out at the pool every day and watching dolphins in the distance. We also walked the short distance to the beach every day. We walked to a lot of restaurants, too. It's a great central location. After many vacations to Captiva staying at other places, I would have to say this was my family's favorite. Thank you for sharing your awesome home with us, Jim and Carla! Hope we can stay here again some day!

Owner's Response: Kathy,
We're very happy you and your family enjoyed staying at my condo on the bay side of the island. It truly is the best spot to see the sunrise and to watch nature.
You are welcome back any time.
Thanks again

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5
We were thrilled with this condo! After staying in Fort Myers last year and making a one night trip to Captiva for dinner and a sunset, we swore we would come back and stay on Captiva the following year. This condo was perfect for us. We wanted to be close to the village and we were, just steps away from all the shops and restaurants. We enjoyed stunning sunrise views over the sound. And, sunsets on the gulf were a short five minute walk to the other side of the island. The property itself was very well-cared for with a property manager located just behind the condominium. By the way, we felt he came straight out of a Hemingway novel! The grounds were very clean, and the condo was very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We loved mornings on the lanai and being able to walk anywhere we needed to go. The Island Store and Captiva Provisions are both within walking distance and had just about anything we needed in the way of food or supplies. As a family of runners, we could walk out the front door and run along the gulf and enjoy the views. Even though the roads are fairly narrow, there was a lot of foot traffic and drivers were extremely cautious and accommodating of foot traffic. Put simply, it was perfect.

Wonderful Family vacation in Paradise!

  • 5 of 5
WE recently returned from our first visit to Captiva Island, where we had heard we could have a wonderful family vacation. Everything we heard was true. We traveled with our 21 month old daughter, who loved swimming in the heated pool each day. Our most difficult decision each day was where to start the day, on the beach (only a few minutes walk from this lovely condo), or in the pool Usually the beach won (the seashells!!!). This condo was great, it is so well equipped, having everything you need to cook, bake, relax and enjoy. We were able to see the stunning sunrise every morning from the comfort of the lanai. The condo is located in a quiet spot just steps from Captiva Village, so you get the best of both worlds. Everyone we met while in Captiva are warm and friendly. We hope this was the first of many family trips here!

incredible views.

  • 5 of 5
One of our favorite condos, on the island. We have been visiting San-Cap for years, this is now our favorite and will be our first choice, in the future.
Well supplied, to meet your needs. Beds are very comfortable. Amazing views of Pine Sound - make sure to get up for the sunrise! Covered parking, which is nice in the hot son.
Easy walk into the Village, and to the beach. Pool is warm, and again, great views of dolphins, osprey and manatees. Dock is good for fishing.

Lovely condo with an awesome view in a great location

  • 5 of 5
We stayed in this condo in June 2013. It is just as described and shown (photos) by the owners. It is a comfortable and spacious condo for a family of 4, and it is nicely decorated. It offers a very well equipped kitchen (cookware, plates, glasses, utensils, a blender, a coffeemaker, oven pans, etc.), plenty of clean bath towels and linens, and a lot of storage space for our clothes and personal things.

The bay view from the condo’s lanai is simply beautiful and very peaceful. We saw the sun rise, and dolphins swimming by. The condo community pool is nice too. You can conveniently access the pool from the lanai. It is heated, I think, as the pool water temperature was perfect!

The location is awesome…3-min stroll to Captiva village where most restaurants and stores are, a 5-min walk to a nice beach (where we watched amazing sunsets), and a 10-min walk (northward) to a few more shops (also a bank, a Post Office and Starbucks!) in South Seas community.

The condo owner, Jim, is nice and thorough. He wanted us to have an enjoyable stay at his condo. So days before our trip, he sent an email with a couple of local contacts in case we encounter issues with the condo. Fortunately, we had NONE! But it is good to know that there is a property manager on-site.

We love the peaceful serenity of this condo, tucked away behind beautiful landscaping, as well as its proximity, literally minutes by foot to restaurants and shops. It is a great place a small family or two couples to enjoy a relaxing vacation along the water. I would recommend this condo, and look forward to return (hopefully soon) for another wonderful relaxing time.
