Águilas is located between three busy airports, with a high influx of tourists; the airport of Alicante, airport of Murcia ( San Javier) 55minutes away on the motorway and the airport of Almería (70 minutes away) accessed by motorway or by dual carriageway. The new airport in Murcia should also be openning shortly.
The view from the majestic promontory of the XVI century Castle of San Juan de Las Águilas, used as a defence tower by different settlers throughout its history, is really rather impressive.
