Papaya villa overlooks long bay beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on tortola (2 minutes drive). Long bay is also famous as a great spot to watch the spectacular colors of the caribbean sunset.
Just a 5 minutes drive away is Smugglers cove, which is a stunning, calm and secluded beach with great all year around snorkeling. For more action packed activities including surfing and water sports, other beaches such as apple and cane garden bay are close by, although guests may be just as happy spending all their time in the restful surroundings of the villa. About Krista Kite
Very much the typical story of American girl and British boy, meeting in the islands way back in 1997 and deciding to stay! Work has taken us away from our family home for a spell but we will return one day. In the meantime we hope that you enjoy our little piece of paradise as much as we have.
Krista Kite purchased this villa in 2009
Why Krista Kite chose Tortola
Our girls have grown up here and our Tortola home is a truly special place. We feel truly blessed waking up in sunny Tortola every day, and watching the sun go down every night. We often say that that no two sunsets are the same, and we are constantly amazed at the beauty of the colors of the sunset on the clear waters of the Caribbean sea. Let us know if you see identical sunsets - bet you never will!
What makes this villa unique
We first saw what would become Papaya Villa in 2008, and instantly fell in love with the sweeping views and idyllic surroundings. We imagined ourselves in the pool looking out to sea, and we were lucky enough to make that dream a reality. As our family home we spent many hours trying to make this our very own piece of paradise. We hope you find our home warm and inviting enabling you to cherish your experience of nature's little secrets in a relaxing, safe and carefree environment.
