Reviewer Comments:

This is an ideal cabin for our family getaway. Access to Cabin and location is very convenient and the view is outstanding. We stayed here when the cabin was practically new, so we have seen some deterioration in furnishings since our first stay. Overall this is an outstanding cabin and I would both recommend it and I would return.

Excellent Vacation

  • 5 of 5

There were 10 of us. Four adults and six kids, ages 8 to 16. It was our 2nd vacation in the Smokies. We stayed in the Pidgeon Forge area last year, by Dollywood. Staying in this cabin, in Wears Valley was much better. Even though the cabin is further from Gatlinberg, and Pidgeon Forge it is worth the stay. Driving to Kroger was very easy. The restaurant at the bottom of the mountain El Vira's was excellent, just a little pricey. As for the cabin, everyone had there own bedroom as bathroom. Very comfortable, and clean. We arrived on Friday, and Saturday morning we woke up to about 6 to 8 inches of snow on the ground. It was a great sight. By the middle of the week it was 60 degrees. We also seen the bear on more then one occasion. No bother at all to anyone. We should of stayed in the cabin more often to have dinner, but we decided to go out. You can easily have all your meals in this cabin. The driveway, and access to the cabin is perfect. Everyone at Sky Reality was very helpful, and professional. Looking forward to going back Christmas for next year. Thank You.

Gorgeous Cabin

  • 4 of 5

My family LOVED this cabin. It was absolutely gorgeous on the inside and out. I found it very easy to navigate to the cabin. When we arrived we were welcomed by a ton of wasps, when we walked in the handy book explaining the different pests on the outside of the cabin explained wasps for this time of year. I contacted the owner/agent and the issue was quickly handled. The bathrooms and bedrooms were wonderful and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need! The view cannot be described with words or pictures!

I would like to make a couple of suggestions to help in the future. It literally took my family days to figure out how to use the fire place. In the manual for the cabin it said to turn the knob located near the fire place, this is not the case for this fireplace. I have stayed in several cabins and this cabin to me was basically figuring things out the entire time. You have to pull down the bottom of the fire place and that was not listed anywhere in the cabin or manual. Also the TV situation, out of 5 bedrooms you can only have control over 2 TVs. The other TVs work off of another TV in the cabin. We spent quite a while running around the cabin figuring out how to watch TV in what room. Since this is not listed anywhere on the website I will note this. The only bedrooms you have control over the TVs are the room on the 3rd floor and the room on the bottom floor that has 2 king beds. It was very confusing because each room had a remote but 3 remotes served no purpose at all. None of the remotes were programmed to the TVs so you have to actually manually change the volume or power on the TV. You are told to place your trash in the bear proof cans outside but you have to search the cabin to find the key, it’s located on the bottom floor right by the door. The password for Wifi is not listed anywhere in the cabin so I had to contact the office to find this information as well. I was told it was listed in the book but it was not.

I would come back to this cabin but only in the deep winter when the pests are not as bad. You can’t beat the view or beauty of the cabin!

Reviewer Comments:

There were 5 couples in our party and the cabin was plenty big for all of us. We were so happy that the cabin was exactly as advertised. The area is quiet and the views outstanding. We even got to see a bear! Everyone enjoyed it so much, we're planning on staying here again next year. Recommended for anyone with a large group like ours.

Perfect Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

Our family met at Wilderness Calls for a week and we enjoyed our facilities. There were 12 of us and it was perfect accommodations to fit all our needs. The cabin is large, well equipped and had the right amount of beds, bathrooms and space to keep all of us entertained. There are three levels, so we were all able to spread out when needed and then come together for meals in the spacious kitchen/dining area. The view from the cabin is magnificent and the area is quiet and peaceful. We spent every morning on the deck watching the wildlife which included bears, raccoons, and coyotes which thrilled all our children. There is a nice hot tub on the back deck which was secluded from the road and other houses which made it nice and private and relaxing. The property was well-maintained and supplied ample towels, cooking utensils and eating utensils for large parties. We have rented many houses in our travels but I would have to say that this cabin met and exceeded all our expectations. We would highly recommend it.
