This is a lovely sunny apartment situated in the new 'Kotor Vista' complex of Muo, a prime position on Kotorska Bay. From the balcony you have a magnificent, panoramic view both during the day and at night when the bay is flooded with lights. The balcony steps lead down to two heated swimming pools with both a child's area and a jacuzzi.

The scene during the day is always changing as yachts and cruisers come and go. The old medieval town and Venetian port of Kotor is a short, pleasant walk away. Outside the town is a daily market with fresh meat, fish, fruit, vegetables and flowers. Many good restaurants to suit all pockets can be found giving good service and good value for money. Kotor bay is central for visiting other beautiful locations around the area and in my view the best position. The apartment is furnished to a high standard with quality kitchen appliances, leather sofa and chair, solid beds and cotton linen, built-in wardrobes, a/c, hydro-massage bath and heated floor.

We had a great holiday fab weather and

surroundings. The things that would help would be bed side lamps (Have now been added), a few more hooks on doors (hooks now added) and a brief summary of of things to do (any local walks, recommended restaurants, places to hire boats bikes etc). (Have since put a welcome pack together)

L'appartement est bien mis (proche de la piscine) et assez fonctionnel. Tout est très propre. La vue sur la baie de Kotor est très belle. La personne de contact sur place reste disponible tout le temps du séjour. Le seul point négatif est que si en haute saison tous les logements sont loués, il ne doit pas y avoir beaucoup de place libre autour de la piscine.

Stunning views, perfect location, very comfortable

We had an absolutely great week in Kotor. Have to repeat what most others have said: the location is great, the view is as perfect as it gets, and the apartment very comfortable.

Although this apartment is on the first floor, it's quite high up on the hill so the views are still fantastic. And then it has the major advantage of having steps from the terrace right down to the pool area which was perfect for our teenage daughters. It was also nice for us – we didn't use the front door (which is at the back of the building) at all.

Some would say that Kotor Vista is on the wrong side of the bay because there is no sun from late afternoon, but the advantage is that the views in the evening looking towards the old town and the steep mountains on the other side of the bay are even more beautiful. The walk to the old town takes about 20 minutes. The road is quite narrow in places and you do have to be mindful of the cars but it's certainly doable and it wasn't a problem for us. We walked it several times, both in daytime and nighttime. The walk from Kotor back towards Muo is quite beautiful – you walk right on the edge of the water and look out into the bay which is really lovely.

We did most of our shopping in the Roda supermarket at the roundabout just before the old town where we were able to park every time we went there although the car park was usually fairly busy. There is a small supermarket in Muo about 7 minutes' walk from the apartment which we used a couple of times, for example for bread in the morning.

The apartment itself is very spacious and comfortable for four persons. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering. The apartment complex and pool area are well kept and clean. The wi-fi worked sporadically – not a problem for us adults but our teenage daughters complained a little when it didn't work.

Our week in Kotor was fantastic. We did the city walls, we did a 15 km hike on Vrmac (the path started right next to the local supermarket, the first 3 kms went up to the old Austrian/Hungarian fortress and then onwards along the Vrmac ridge), we drove up to Lovćen (Jezerski Vrh and the mausoleum), and went to Perast twice. We had a second week in Montenegro (in Becici, which we didn't like much) and went to the Ostrog Monastery and twice to Lake Skadar (Rijeka Crnojevića and hiked on Vranjina). So we managed to see and do a lot during our stay in Montenegro and really enjoyed it.

Lovely apartment, fantastic view

Everything was as described, we loved the apartment but I would not call the walk into Kotor pleasant,it's along a busy very narrow road.
The property was clean and well kept, a broken bed was repaired quite promptly.

Amazing view!

We stayed a week in Kotor Vista apartment. The view was absolutely stunning! We nearly caught our breath every morning! The apartment itself was nicely decorated and quite well equipped. A couple of minor things missing like a proper coffee machine and cleaning equipment for daily maintaining to do by ourselves. Otherwise we really enjoyed our visit in this lovely and cozy apartment near all the main services. And the representative was a charming and very helpful person! We'd highly recommend this to everyone looking for a peaceful and easy accommodation. Also suitable for children.

Very pleasant stay

The area is quite stunning and the view from the apartment's balcony is truly amazing. We enjoyed exploring the local area on foot - and there are many lovely restaurants in and around Kotor Old Town - we especially enjoyed Gallion and Stari Grad.

The pools are lovely and the area is clean and well-maintained.

The apartment is comfortable - but as the aircon was not working in the lounge during our stay and as there was no unit in the main bedroom we did have a couple of uncomfortable sleepless nights - even after keeping blinds/curtains closed all day. Also - the curtains in the main bedroom are very thin so no choice but to be up with the early sunrise every morning!!

We wish we'd known there was a washing machine (is that in the details or did we just miss it?) though as we wouldn't have taken so much stuff!

Overall a great holiday apartment in a fabulous setting.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments, the aircon unit has now been replaced with a new unit, was a lot quicker than waiting for the part to repair the existing one. There is also a floor standing cooling fan in the main bedroom.

The apartment is situated in the village of Muo,15 minutes walk from the old Venetian town of Kotor, a jewel of the Adriatic and a UNESCO world heritage site. It is a place of stunning natural beauty and the southern-most Fjord in Europe. It is quiet and peaceful, it has fantastic views and is surrounded by other places of interest. Something for everyone.

It is a 2 minute walk to the fjord waterfront and 15 minutes drive to the nearest sandy beaches. The Montenegrin coastline has numerous beaches in separate coves to explore and is ideal for either a relaxing or adventure holiday.

If you head inland you'll find dramatic scenery in Montenegro's national parks. There is Europe's longest and deepest canyon known for its white water rafting, the mountain region, hiking trails around the glacal lakes in the forests and the 40,000 ha Lake Skadar. There is a local group who can help organize your adventure activities.

The food and the local vranac wine also comes highly recommended.
