We have always appreciated architecture and landscaping. When we first saw this property, we recognized the unique qualities that it offered to create a home that compliments its surroundings inside and out. Through the years, we have designed every space to reflect a casual elegance that we truely enjoy.
We fell in love with this home because you feel you as if you are perched high among the evergreens. We are lucky to live in a modern treehouse. From every view, you are surronded by forest, gardens and birds, which really evokes a sense of calm. As you relax on the patio, you can't believe that the bustling tourist distirct is just outside our neighborhood entrance. We have the best of both worlds-a quiet and private home in the heart of everything that Woodinivlle wine country has to offer.
We stayed in this beautiful home to hold the rehearsal dinner for my step-son's wedding. The proximity to the Hollywood School house - popular wedding venue - made everything as easy as it could be. On top of that the place itself is beautifully decorated and set up for real comfort. Everyone loved the house. There was space for the party and it did not feel crowded (approx. 30 people). The groomsmen kind of made it their base. Having the house where the kids could just hang out made the wedding weekend that much better. Stephanie and her dad Paul, were very helpful as we set things up and held the party. We really could not have asked for more. Also, the house was a good buy. We held the rehearsal dinner there and housed two other couples - the value for being able to do all that was fabulous.
I visited this home for a weekend wine trip with some friends. What a relaxing place to stay. We walked down to some wineries that were well within walking distance, but I have to say, that walk back up the hill was a doozie. We definitely got a workout. But it was definitely relaxing once we got up the hill. And the beds were so comfortable! The owners were very nice and were willing to work with my situation as well. Thank you for a nice relaxing weekend of wine!!
We were in town for daughter's wedding at Hollywood Schoolhouse. The house was the perfect location and Stephanie was the perfect hostess. It was well furnished and met our every need. A beautiful setting with a feeling of home that was convenient yet secluded. We hope to visit again someday.
We drove up for the weekend from Portland for a family reunion in Seattle. The night before our reunion, we celebrated my husband's 40th birthday in Paul and Judy's wonderful home. It was great to be able to celebrate with family and friends from near and far. Everyone fell in love with the exquisitely decorated home and had so much fun... maybe too much fun that I apologized to Judy for the noise from the party.
The big harvest dining table seated my parents, aunts and uncles who never got up except to get more food and wine from the spacious kitchen counter behind them. The gas grill and fabulous convection oven made it so easy for us to prepare the food. The living room allowed the younger generation to gather around the tv. The men hung out on the terrace with drinks in hand and some picture taking action took place outside in the beautifully landscaped gardens. This was the perfect place to entertain and reminisce with people we don't get to see very often. There was a lot of love and laughter that evening.
Thank you Paul and Judy for sharing your wonderful home with us. We will cherish the memories forever!
This property was everything it was touted. It was peaceful, quiet and close to the things we were interested in. We came in for a funeral and it was close to both the Rosary and the church. It was also mega-close to the Redhook Brewery and numerous wineries.
We would love to come back again.
The photos of the home and surrounding area were charming. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised that the property was exactly as depicted. It felt like home. The furnishings are of interest, many pieces being antiques. The master bath belongs in "House Beautiful". As far as amenities, everything was included. We entertained both nights we were there and the kitchen provided all that was needed. This property is very secluded, but yet within walking distance of several attractions and not too far a distance to spend a day in Seattle. We found the owners of the property helpful with recommendations for activities for those guests with children. The manager of the property should be commended for the pristine condition of the house. The property and grounds are extremely well maintained. We had a wonderful stay and will be returning at a future date.
