This beautiful newly built villa boasts every modern comfort, and is exclusively available for your holiday rental. The property boasts a spectacular position with magnificent uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean and mountains. Perfectly situated facing towards the south west, the pool and sunbathing area enjoy all day sun to maximise your holiday time!

Located within a fifteen to twenty minute drive of all local amenities (beaches, restaurants, supermarkets, golf, tennis and kids activities etc), the villa offers the perfect combination of being close to the action and yet far from the madding crowds of package tourists. Prepare to be amazed by the sheer beauty of the location and the privacy and quietness this ensures!

The villa's ground floor features an open plan very large, double height reception room. 40 inch flat screen HD television with SKY+ HD TV system, DVD/CD, ipod/iphone speaker dock. Guest Cloakroom. Dining area seating ten. Open plan Kitchen with breakfast bar includes a double oven, microwave, two fridges, dishwasher. Utility Room with washing machine. Two bedroom wing: double bedroom opening onto garden, with en-suite bathroom + twin/double bedroom also opening onto garden, with en-suite shower bathroom. Covered terrace with barbecue and external dining table seating ten.

The villa's 1st floor features the spectacular main entrance hall and staircase to the ground floor, and mezzanine gallery. Outside there is a balcony terrace with seating. Master double bedroom opening onto this terrace with en-suite bathroom with toilet, bidet, bath and shower. Two bedroom wing: double bedroom with private balcony and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower + twin/double bedroom with private balcony and en suite bathroom with shower.

Finally, at the top of the villa, there is also a roof terrace to capture the last rays of sun and offering even better views of the sea and mountains.

The villa is fully air conditioned for the hot summers, and is very well insulated for staying warm out of season.

The elegant, black tiled pool is the perfect size - 10 x 5 metres and has a uniform depth of 1.6m to maximise useability. With a salt not chlorine based system, the pool is also much more comfortable to swim and lounge in - you'll love the difference! Sun loungers and beach towels are provided.

Apart from splashing about in the pool, there are plenty of activities for the kids along the coast - inlcuding water parks, the nearby Selwoo safari park, Fuengirola zoo and the opportunity to take golf, horse riding and tennis lessons.

All the famous cultural and tourist sites of Andalucia can now be reached within an easy one to three hour drive from the villa, following huge investment in Andalucia’s transport infrastructure, making ideal day or overnight trips. Coastal Andalucia boasts not only the best climate in Europe, but also fine beaches, glamorous resorts, luxury shopping and sporting and leisure activities: in short the ideal environment for the all year round holiday maker. Inland the landscape changes from remote snow capped mountain ranges to ecologically important national parks, from the driest plains to the greenest valleys. Its legendary cultural identity includes five Unesco World Heritage sites (the great cities of Sevilla, Granada and Córdoba, the Doñana National Park and the renaissance towns of Úbeda and Baeza), being more than most countries can boast. Not far behind in cultural identity are Cádiz, Jerez, Málaga and Ronda and the renowned “white towns and villages” of which Casares, Medina Sidonia and Vejer de la Frontera are personal favourites.

Wine Tasting: For the dedicated wine taster, the world famous bodegas of Jerez de la Frontera, Sanlúcar de Barrameda and El Puerto de Santa Maria (together the three historic towns of the Sherry region) are just an hour and a half away, a beautiful drive through the spectacular countryside of the Alcornocales Natural Park. The best known bodega is Gonzalez Byass, home of Tio Pepe, which offers several daily tours as many other wineries do. Málaga province is also famed for its dessert wines, Lopez Hermanos being the premier winery (about an hour and half’s drive).

Golf: The coast of Andalucía is also nicknamed the Costa del Golf by dint of the fact that there are over 70 golf courses between Gibraltar and Málaga, with an increasing number nearby in the adjacent Cádiz province, offering a variety of challenges at all price levels. With the ideal climate for all year round golf, the area is the perfect destination for both golfing couples and groups. In recent years the following courses have hosted major professional tournaments, all within 45 minutes drive from the villa: Aloha, Finca Cortesin, La Quinta, Los Flamingos, San Roque and of course Valderrama, the spiritual home of Europe’s Ryder Cup resurgence.

I am Reg Hoare, the owner of Villa Cielo en la Tierra, which I personally designed and developed. I am British and live and work in London, but spend as much time as I can at the villa (usually out of season to ensure the villa is available for rental). It's definitely a second home for me!

Reg Hoare purchased this villa in 2010

I have been coming to Spain since I was a toddler and fell in love with Monte Mayor when I first visited it in 2001, buying some land a year later. Having put together my design, project team and financing, construction took place between 2008-10. I hope that you too will fall in love with Monte Mayor and Villa Cielo en la Tierra.

When Pepe the estate agent first showed me the plot, I was blown away - I'd told him I wanted Mediterranean and mountain views not golf course views, and wow did he deliver! Guest after guest, like me, has fallen in love with the beautiful views from the terraces, pool and garden - and with the incredible peace and quiet of the surroundings. Yet if you want some action, all the amenities and services are just 15-25 minutes drive away - the perfection combination of being away from it all but in the middle of it!

Very well equipped property with a high standard of maintenance. A lovely quiet area with magnificent undeveloped views. There are some nice local walks and some lovely restaurants a short drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property.

FIRST CLASS

This is a fabulous place to stay. Well designed, fully equipped with great pool and easily accommodating the 8 of us in comfort. Up in the hills with great views, but an easy car trip to Malaga airport. We enjoyed several rounds at the nearby Marbella Golf Club, and on the couple of occasions that we felt the urge to eat out found a couple of good restaurants in nearby Benahavis. On the basis of our very happy week here, I have no hesitation in recommending it.

A BEAUTIFUL, TRANQUIL AND STUNNING HOME

I cannot recommend this Villa highly enough. It is a beautifully designed home which is fitted out to a very high standard in a contemporary but comfortable style. The bedrooms all face the stunning view with luxurious beds, crisp linen and spacious en suite bathrooms with the highest quality fittings. The kitchen is very well equipped, more so than you would expect from a holiday home. Outside the stunning views dominate and it is located in an incredibly tranquil position. We did not hear or see a car, train or plane from the villa, only the crickets broke the silence in the evenings. Also there are few places where you can be so high in the green hills and mountains, yet have a gorgeous view of the sea - a heavenly combination! Every effort was made by the owner so that we had memorable and indulgent holiday.

HEAVEN ON EARTH

I can highly recommend a stay at the Villa Cielo en la Tierra which fully lived up to expectations.

We were all taken with the magnificent setting, looking down to the sea and across to Africa, or up into the mountains, where there are some good walks to cork woods and even more views. It is very beautiful and peaceful, too.

The house is splendid and still seems brand-new.The kitchen is smart and stylish, and well fitted out. There are plenty of areas to sit out and relax. All of the bedrooms are of a good size with excellent en-suite bathrooms; the beds are very comfortable.

The pool is very tempting, a good size for swimming and good for relaxing, too. It's a shame that the golf course is currently closed but there are plenty of others nearby as well as many other things to do: art in Malaga, restaurants in Benahavis, the buzz of the beach bars.

There is help on hand from the manager on the estate should you need it.

The sun shone and the fino flowed, which helps any holiday, but as I've thought before it really is a little taste of Heaven on Earth.

RECOMMENDED STAY WITHOUT SECOND THOUGHTS!

We (2 adults and 2 kids) had a great time at this Villa. The location provides great Ocean and Canyon view. It's a little drive up the hill but we did not mind staying out of the more busy spots, which are still within close reach. (e.g. 15min drive to Puerto Banus). The Villa is well equipped with cooking ware if you are too lazy to get out there. Beds are comfortable. The owner was helpful and everything was seamless.

A STELLAR HOLIDAY AT VILLA CIELO EN LA TIERRA...

What can I say...

Our stay at Villa Cielo en la Tierra with my wife and two boys (age 6 and 4) was simply brilliant. The salt water based pool was amazing. A refreshing change from chemical based pools especially with young children and the view was simply sublime. The level of appointment here marks out Regs' attention to detail; extremely comfortable beds, crisp clean linen, excellent towels, UK based SKY HD TV (brilliant for children on hot afternoons), Nespresso machine (which the owner kindly placed in the villa before our stay as I mentioned I used the Nespresso system), the air-con is brilliant and being throughout the property (not just bedrooms) takes the comfort level in the warm afternoons to another level. The quality of the fixtures and fittings are second to none and you just know time has been spent building comfort into ever space - just what you need on holiday. The kitchen was equipped with every utensil you could think of and for two whole weeks we were never left wanting for anything by way of adding to our comfort.

The level of comfort we experienced at the villa coupled with the amazing weather (consistent 35 degrees) made 14 days here one of the best villas I have ever rented. It felt like home-from-home right away. The secured gated area the villa resides makes it feel secure and indeed rather special.

If you are here reading this review, and you are wondering if Villa Cielo en la Tierra is for - don't hesitate in making an enquiry. The flights to Malaga, easy car hire and most importantly the villas location and it's high quality appointment made this one of the best and easiest holidays my family has had for along time and worth every penny.

It must be noted that from the initial enquiry through to return of our security deposit, Reg Hoare was a complete gentlemen and indeed the whole process was slick, professional and I felt confident everything I asked and indeed Reg mentioned would happen, indeed did. Renting a strangers villa is daunting at the best of times, but all my queries and questions were answered swiftly right before we committed to renting.

Would I return? In a heart-beat. So much so, I'm looking at my diary already for when we can return...

The only negative I could find whilst we stayed at Villa Cielo en la Tierra was the fact we had to depart and go home after 14 days. But I guess everyone does...
