About Rose Hogan
After getting married and moving into my husband's home, we decided to make Lalaland a vacation rental. It is such a beautiful and special place, I could not even consider selling it! I hope my renters enjoy the tranquility, beauty, aesthetic spirit, and joy that I find here.
Rose Hogan purchased this house in 2002
Why Rose Hogan chose Canandaigua
There is a special feeling in this area. The air is clean, fragrant and the views of the hills and vineyards are wonderful. I was impressed with the beauty of this old house, where modernization did not remove the charm of this 1898 Victorian. The Naples community are friendly, artistic and musical folks who take pride in their town and businesses.
What makes this house unique
I love the 'feel' of an old house, yet am spoiled by modern comforts! I love sitting in the library, looking out at the view. The widow's watch feels like being in a tree-house.Sitting up there, watching the moonrise or sunrise, or a thunderstorm coming in, is an amazing experience.
The side deck and swing are a great place to watch the birds or deer, or have a glass of wine as twilight sets in. The night stars here are magnificent- no street lights dim the skies!
There is plenty of activity and entertainment close-by, but then you can come home to old-world serenity and comfort. Truly the best of both worlds.
